Henry Juszkiewicz, the CEO of Gibson Guitars, Inc. was on The Dana Loesch Show on Friday. Gibson is under attack by the the Obama Justice Department for accusations that the company broke American Indian laws.
Juszkiewiz said the government suggested that the company's use of unfinished wood from India is illegal, not because of U.S. law, but because of the Justice Department's interpretation of a law in India. The Holder Justice Department raided at least two Gibson manufacturing plants this week forcing hundreds of workers off their jobs. Juszkiewiz says the company lost a million dollars this week.
Finally, Henry Juszkiewicz told Dana, "The Obama Justice Department wants us to just shut our doors and go away." He says he will continue to fight for the Gibson company and its workers.

Who is looking at it? Not sure I’m understanding your post.
Short answer?
Eggs Ackley!
Yes sir. It’s for real.
Lucille is a born and bred Gibson girl.
To paraphrase BB: Nobody loves me but Obama, and he could be jivin' me too.
And isn't it funny how those foreign laws always manage to support the hard left views they espouse? I wonder why they never say our courts should follow the decisions of the Irish courts and laws on abortion, but then that would outlaw abortion, wouldn't it?
Mark
Yes, he calls it "Lucille".
Hey— I paid A LOT for my daughter’s rosewood oboe, the exact wood we’re talking about here. If they come for that oboe... Let’s just say double reed players can only be pushed so far!!
“Just curious.
Why not use American wood?
Must everything in the United States be imported?”
Rosewood (sides of premium guitars and most fretboards on all guitars) and Ebony (highest end fretboards and bridges) simply do not grow anywhere in the US I know of. We have very hard woods, such as walnut and maple. Those woods lack a certain self-lubricating quality that rosewood has when used for fretboards) and AFAIK we have nothing like ebony. Walnut is more than a little crack-prone, but it has been used for a very few guitars.
Fender makes guitars with maple fretboards, actually the whole neck is maple, with a walnut “skunk” stripe down the back. They are very strong, very hard woods, but they ain’t rosewood and they certainly ain’t ebony.
Unfortunately Henry is not a conservative and likely voted for Obama. I feel for him, as I have many times in the past, but he’s a big supporter of left-wing causes (mostly due to peer pressure in his business). As a former employee I respect Henry for some of his views but he has a terrible reputation and has caused untold pain and suffering for many people in his circle of influence (he’s a hardcore narcissist, just like Barry Soetoro).
“Why not use American wood?
Must everything in the United States be imported”
Many woods that are considered best for guitar making (and for other instruments as well) simply don’t grow in the United States.
Spruce (for guitar tops) does grow here, as does maple (used for sides/backs).
But most fingerboards are made of either Indian rosewood or ebony.
The lion’s share of acoustic guitars are made from mahogany (again, not able to grow it here) or Indian rosewood.
What’s going on with the musical instrument making business is environmental extremism gone wild — just like the explosion of government regulations into every facet of life.
Now there is even some talk that in the name of “enforcement”, the government might claim authority to seize vintage instruments that simply come in for repair (say, at a music store). Most older guitars were made with at least one kind of wood that is now considered “contraband”.
What kind of world are we in, where one cannot even use a tree to build a guitar any more?
Just wonderin’...
I think the company you’re looking for is Fender.
I bet they would get their panties in a wad if they knew what we use for grip panels on our .45s.
This is bull sh*t!
This POS is making his own bed...and He will have to lay in it. I haven't had a chance to confirm it, but I heard Gibson's CEO has contributed to the GOP, while the other guitar manufactures (not be shaken down) gave to the Dems. Obama should be tried for treason in a military tribunal, and hung by that skinny neck for all the anti-American crap he's been pulling. He's going to learn that lawlessness begets lawlessness. Does Obama really think when push comes to shove he can trust all of the Secret Service, all of the FBI/CIA, and all of the military to follow him as he tries to usurp tyrannical power? He'd better guess again. He's being seen more and more each day as this nations greatest enemy.
This crap goes way beyond impeachment!
I just did, but FB has a whole new posting protocol that I'm too tired to figure out right now. I have no idea if anyone will see my post or not.
