Despite Organized Effort by Democrats to Label Tea Party Members as "Terrorists", Majority Disagree
MRC TV (Media Research Center TV) ^ | 8/8/2011 | Joe S.

Despite the Democrats organized effort to take to every media outlet to paint the Tea Party as 'terrorists', it has not caught on with the general public. According to a new Rasmussen poll released today, just 29% of people buy the slander, while 55% disagree.

Rasmussen writes:

"Fifty-five percent (55%) of Likely U.S. Voters, in fact, say members of the Tea Party are not economic terrorists. A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that just 29% believe Tea Party members have been terrorists during the budget debates, while another 16% are undecided.

Perhaps tellingly, while 53% of Democrats view Tea Party members as terrorists, 57% of voters not affiliated with either major party disagree, as do 74% of Republicans"

Over one quarter of REPUBLICANS don’t know or think Tea Party types are terrorists? I think we ARE losing the PR war. We need more people out there speaking the truth and exposing the lies and deceit of the media!

Sad thing is it should be 80% - 90%, after all can anybody point to one violent act that the tea party has ever committed or threatened to commit?

They will get more people believing it if they keep saying it unchecked. It’s the whole keep saying the lie long enough thing.

If it starts getting checked and they continually get called on it, they will abandon it but shift rhetoric to another derogatory put-down that polls better.

They need a Goldstein. WHoever their greatest enemy is at the moment in their mind, is their Goldstein (ie. the one they can blame everything bad - that they’ve orchestrated - on - to deflect blame/violence away from themselves).

This is opportunity. The Tea Partiers should respond by stepping up their activities: Start holding public educational programs, to explain the economic fallacies that this Administration embraces; to demonstrate how destructive the Obamanist version of Keynesian folly is to the prospects of productive Americans.

Of course, the intent of the slanderers is to intimidate Conservatives; to discourage people from getting involved; to make it more appealing for the public to go back to sleep, as it were.

Education must start with making sure that people understand the function of money--the legitimate function of money, as a Medium Of Exchange. Then you can trace how the deliberate cheapening of our money has undermined our credit-worthiness. Those calling Conservatives names, are the real culprits, here. We need to run them out of Washington; run them out of controlling American educaton; discredit their pretensions, once & for all!

America needs to be renovated... a novelty approach would be by tearing down the lies that have heaped hell upon our collective heads... tell the truth about debt, about the immorality of politicians in DC, about the cause of poverty and it cures (hard work), about illegal immigration, about the nanny state and Obamy Care... for this we are labeled Terrorists? Satan goes berserk when he is cornered by truth and righteousness, is it any wonder that Demoncrats scream bloody murder when their flanks are exposed.

Regardless of whether people buy into the propaganda of the democrats and the progressives the facts about the use of terrorism in American history need to be made more mainstream and fully known.

What the progressive movement and the democrat party has done now by smearing the Tea party with the terrorist label is beyond the pale considering their history. People NEED to be made aware of this history. Republicans have to stop being silent about the history. Conservatives need to stop being silent about the history of the democrat party and progressive movement.

The democrat party and the progressive movement have a long history of using terrorism in America. From the decades upon decades of the democrats and progressives using the KKK as a terrorist wing of their ideology and targeting both blacks and republicans to the numerous left-wing terrorist groups of the sixties counter culture movement that targeted Americans of all stripes, murdered police officers, judges, etc… to the environmental groups such as ELF that targeted businesses with terrorism to the homosexual activist groups that target churches to the left-wing Union thugs who target businesses as well with terrorism.

Then not to mention the fact that the democrats and progressives have been continually acting as the terrorists civil rights movement. Appeasing and giving moral support to Islamic terrorist and dictatorships throughout the world.

All of this should also be taken in with the knowledge that the democrats and progressives have fought tooth and nail to keep genocide legal with their stance on abortion.

For the democrats or the progressive movement to falsely accuse peaceful political groups such as the TEA party with a unfounded smear that they themselves are guilty of one thousand fold is the ultimate hypocrisy. Conservatives and republicans need to continually point out the hateful and terroristic history of the democrats.

What would really tell us something is if they would break down the 53% according to government or union employees, currently receiving welfare or unemployment, do not pay taxes, etc.

I believe that the vast majority would be riders on the government gravy train.

No surprise there. These are the same people who are embarrassed by Christian conservatives and wish pro-lifers would all fall off the face of the earth.

It a lot more insidious than some name calling. After all labeling someone a “terrorist” has legal implications as well? We permit the government to arrest and imprison people that are members of terrorist organizations. You can even be charged with a crime for donating to or publicly supporting a terrorist group. Terrorist are essentially banned from public discourse. So is it part of some hidden agenda to get the public accustomed to thinking of “terrorist” and “tea party” as being synonymous? Then perhaps some day stage a bombing or assassination in the name of the tea party, then use that to label it a “terrorist” organization in the same league as Al Queda or Hamas, with the government able to go after anybody that provided financial support or openly claims to be a member.

So glad to see our "leadership" come out in defense of the Tea Party during all of these baseless attacks.

Oh wait...I've yet to see these establishment RINO's defending those patriots who are honestly trying to save this great nation.

Our own side calls us Hobbits and say that we "went too far" in "bowing up" during the debt talks.

Really? Well, try squeezing blood out of this Hobbit, RINO's!!!

The rest of the unaffiliated (other than the 57%) are mostly being deceptive about their party (either Dems who lie or independents who always vote lib), but the true "Republicans" who are honest about their party and disapprove of Tea Party responsibility worry me. It's a shame true conservatism needs to be articulated by politicians and isn't universally taught by parents, since the Tea Party's foundation is simple personal responsibility and basic moral values, but it does need to be expressed rationally in the public forum. We need to find someone who can do exactly that - clearly, articulately, and charismatically. But where?

When they say this I guess they think everyone in this country is so dumb they don’t know about terrorists and how they operate. If the Tea Party were made up of terrorists there would be blood in the streets. The libs and press can say this all they want but deep down they know they’re fortunate that it’s a lie.

53% of Democrats view Tea Party members as terrorists

Libtard mentality of 1) using anticoncepts like terrorist to try silence opposition and 2) moral cowardice of refusing to pronounce moral judgment on true evil (real terrorists) and 3) moral inversion of claiming that the good is actually evil.
