It a lot more insidious than some name calling. After all labeling someone a “terrorist” has legal implications as well? We permit the government to arrest and imprison people that are members of terrorist organizations. You can even be charged with a crime for donating to or publicly supporting a terrorist group. Terrorist are essentially banned from public discourse. So is it part of some hidden agenda to get the public accustomed to thinking of “terrorist” and “tea party” as being synonymous? Then perhaps some day stage a bombing or assassination in the name of the tea party, then use that to label it a “terrorist” organization in the same league as Al Queda or Hamas, with the government able to go after anybody that provided financial support or openly claims to be a member.
