During a White House press briefing, CBS's Norah O' Donnell asked Jay Carney "where are the tax revenues?" and bemoaned, "You gave them everything they wanted, and we got nothing!" in response to the debt ceiling deal.

Yeah, that's what I heard, too. It was just Carney speaking over her that jumbled it. Still, I believe most of those reporters there think "we", meaning Dems.

This misleading thread allows some to dismiss the issue of this woman - and it shouldn’t be dismissed. As I said, her exasperation told the story.
We ? The elite in gov’t and media feel that we common folks are too dumb to keep our earnings since we would spend on things we enjoy beyond for basic needs and they are of the opinion they know how to spend it better than we do and use the terms like “Society would be better served .....” which is a BS term for “thanks for your hard work, we are entitled to the fruits of you labor because you owe us big time” !
There is an old saying that goes :”You ...-ed up, you trusted me!” as Obama sticks his liberal base in the eye, you have to enjoy this part of it.
I had some fun with our local Obama Koolaid drinker today telling him what a weak leader Obama is and how I would be ashamed to be a Democrat if I had such a sellout of ‘the worker’ and ‘the poor’ as a (Dem) leader. This lib loves Obama so I get him in a tizzy pretty fast.
In reality this deal is good for obama’s re-election, but it’s still fun to rub it in to his socialists.
