*NOTE: I do not in any way believe in the absurd idea of banning ATM's. If anything, the production, shipment, and maintenance of ATM's create more jobs than those that are being 'taken away'.*
A couple weeks ago, Dan Joseph and I went out with a petition to "Ban Job Killing ATM's" after President Obama said that technology, such as ATM's and airport kiosks, have taken away jobs from some people when speaking about unemployment. For the most part, people either signed or kindly refused; except for one woman who annihilated me on the stupidity of the idea- and rightfully so. Just for fun, here's the full clip of her.

And ambulances take jobs away from stretcher bearers.
Whatta pinhead.

Americahad better wake up

This is great! I love it!
No more blacksmiths around here....They’ve been transformed into.......Auto Mechanics....at $100 per hour!!!
.
My bank has the same number of clerks that they had 50 years ago......way back when we actually had cash in our pockets and didn’t need an ATM.
I love this woman. I love this video. This black woman hates Obama. Watch it.
for later
Well I don't want to ever support Obama. But the number of people working in retail bank locations is much lower than in the past. Most people have no need to come into a bank anymore. With online banking especially; why would someone take the time?
His ATM comment is foolish however; as those were widely adopted in the 70’s.
The gist of his comment (if I remember) id that technology has eliminated some jobs>
Well duhh Mr President. Ever hear of the Industrial Revolution? Not exactly a new thing.
How did this guy get elected?
Thanks for the video! It needs to go viral!
“How did this guy get elected?”
More voters than not learned to believe everything ABCCBSCNNNBC/AP told them.
About the only time I ever go into a bank anymore is if they are offering some worthwhile freebie to open or add to an account. Then, I'm amazed that there are still lines at brick and mortar banks since few of the customers are comming in for the freebies.
Sorry, but I couldn’t even finish watching the video. That woman was totally annoying. No way I could carry on a conversation with her, even if we both agreed on the subject being discussed.
“Walk into my bank... walk into my bank... walk into my bank and tell me whose job got taken away.”

The ATM comment from Obama, and the “executive jets” for big-wigs at corporations, are meant to stir up the class wars which tend to rile up the poor and less well off, who tend to vote for democrats.
However, what Obama and democrats don’t want to mention is that, the manufacturing and usage of the corporate jets provide a lot more jobs and growth to the economy, than what would be saved by not using those jets.
What Obama and democrats are also too dense to realize is that, ATMs are a stimulus to the economy. Those machines provide work for many people, and the tellers are being replaced, not by that machines, but by people who have to refill and account for deposits and withdrawals at the beginning and end of the day.
But, mostly, those ATMs provide jobs by allowing people to get money at all times of the day, and that money is spent almost as soon as it is withdrawn. Spending is what a healthy economy is about, and ATMs allow for spending at all times of the day. ATMs and credit cards have allowed for a lot more spending into the economy, and a lot of growth is due to credit and readily available cash at all times.
Methinks that Obama and the democrats already know that executive jets and ATMs are not the problem with the economy, but, they’re going to create problems with those issues in order to try to rile up the electorate against the republicans, who, democrats like to label as pro-corporations and against the little people. Class warfare has worked well for the democrats in the past, but this time around, the economy cannot afford the class warfare being waged by democrats and Obama.
