Transformers: Dark of the Moon, the third in the Transformers series, is in some ways the perfect summer movie. A movie where you can turn off your brain, ignore reality, and simply enjoy sugar sweet Hollywood mayhem.
The movie starts with a basic concept: that the space race in the Cold War was focused on reaching the moon first, not for its scientific achievement, but to obtain alien technology that both the Soviets and Americans secretly knew had crashed on the dark side of the moon millenia ago. Americans, led by Neil Armstrong, get there first...but keep the information hidden.

I liked Close Encounters when I saw it in the theatre in 77. It was the special effects that amazed me. I tried to watch it again a few years ago and couldn’t see what I saw in it.
ET...same thing... unwatchable now
My taste in movies has changed in 35 years. Super 8 sucked.

I am perfectly happy commenting. I just don’t waste time with people that complain about the same thing time and again.
If you want to click on the link...do so. If you don’t, don’t. That is freedom. You have a choice.
I comment on stuff all the time. And frankly, I don’t answer to you anyway.
When you state...
“Or is your true purpose to get Jim Robinson and FreeRepublic.com in more legal trouble?”
You are implying that I have gotten JR & FR in legal trouble in the past.
This is not true - and it is an accusation, albeit, a rather womanly one.

“Which BTW is a clear violation of Copyright law.”
The internet pretty much is one big, “violation of Copyright law”. If Neoavatara comes here pushing his wares - in repeated violation of Jim Rob’s wishes (see above - look it up) then I see nothing wrong with someone giving him a taste of his own medicine.
Incidentally, who ordained you the protector and legal counsel for blog pimps?

You ever hear the term “Fair Use”?
“In its most general sense, a fair use is any copying of copyrighted material done for a limited and transformative purpose, such as to comment upon, criticize, or parody a copyrighted work. Such uses can be done without permission from the copyright owner. In other words, fair use is a defense against a claim of copyright infringement. If your use qualifies as a fair use, then it would not be considered an illegal infringement.”

Being that this thread is comments about the stated article...
I’ll let you figure it out.
It appears that post #84 has shut the blog pimp police down for the evening....lol
Great defense but since Free Republic already has lost using that one it shows once again you are three steps behind...
Try and keep up...
You are flailing about trying to find purchase in a rational defense of your call for someone other than the copyright holder to copy the article in full and post it on Free Republic.
Let me save you some time, there isn't one.
Further RE: "You are implying that I have gotten JR & FR in legal trouble in the past." Shows once again you are clueless when it comes to reading comprehension which seems to be a predominant trait of those that call themselves the Blog Pimp Police.
Bottom Line you tried to get someone to violate Copyright law which puts My beloved Free Republic in more legal jeopardy. You do realize there are literally thousands of lefties who are looking for an opening to shut down Free Republic don't you? So, when I see some nimrod working to give those Free Republic haters and opening to do such I am going to make sure Jim and John are aware as well as the mods. You May wish to take such into consideration when posting more of your lamea$$ BlogPimp Police drivel.

Mad Dawgg
BTW...saw it last night in IMAX 3d. Special effects are great amd worth the price of admission. That's good because the story is incoherent and the editing is choppy. First half is hard to follow and jumps around a lot...looks like they spliced some scenes together in a hurry without worrying about continuity. Last half is much better.
Bottom line, it's better than the second one, but not that much better.
Mixed in among your last 50 blog pimps going back to March, you have only a few posts.
We post excerpts on FR because of copyright, it would not be considered fair use of copyrighted works to post entire articles. However, you own the copyright to your blog. You can post the entire article. The only reason not to do so is to use FR to drive traffic to your blog for profit by posting teasers. That is a blog pimp.
When he says “all the time” he meant time in the geological sense. It adds up to numerous comments in an era.

Wow.
Giving new definition to the term “Drama Queen”.
Close Encounters is about the alien encounter as a quasi mystical experience. It was very original at the time and is still emotionally messy. But that explains why you didn’t like Super 8...if you don’t like those earlier films you certainly wouldn’t like a film that rekindled their flame.
So basically we should be concerned that you might run and tell?
You're a real bad ass, huh?
I've seen little girls with more balls than that.
Yes, you see I do really care if Free Republic gets in legal trouble unlike the Blogpimp Police who seem to only to be interested in being members of the Cool-Kids club.
Deal with it sparky.
I (and others) will point out to the Mods and the Site owners anytime we see you try and endanger Free Republic by posting copyright protected work just because you can't work past the agony of clicking a link (which I always thought a grand giggle being you must do such to copy the work and post it on free Republic)
I doubt you can find a single example where I have posted "copyrighted work"
here, or even the poorly crafted garbage produced by bloggers. Keep an eye out, though.
You keep running to tell teacher, too. It's amusing.
I'll keep pointing out blogpimps, who seek only to USE Free Republic as an advertising
platform for their lame and disease-ridden blogs, directing FR's traffic needlessly offsite.
Deal with it, Zippy.
You erroneously conflate blogging and blog pimping.
Maybe you ought to.

No, other people still have something to say as this isn't your wee decision.

Feel free to move on. Others will move on when they want to do so. Another thing that is not your wee decision.
BTW, why do you like blog pimping so much? Or do you simply not understand the difference between a "blogger" and a "blog pimp". If you need help just let us know and one of us will school you.
From YOUR tagline.
(If you’re going to deny humblegunner his 1st Amendment rights then................)
Hypocrite.
