American Anger Should Be Directed At Obama

A brand new Newsweek/Daily Beast poll finds that Americans are angry. And their anger is directed at just about everything.

Americans are angry at Barack Obama, high gas prices, unemployment, congressional Republicans, and even God.

And some of that anger is justified.

New figures released last week show unemployment is at 9.1 percent. Employers added only 54,000 jobs in May, the fewest jobs in eight months, down from 232,000 in April. This is an abysmal figure.

And what does Obama have to say about it? He called the jobless report a "bump in the road". This from an administration that promised unemployment would be below 8 percent by the end of his first year in office.

How's that Stimulus 2 workin' out for ya?

Gas prices are on the rise. Americans are angry at the prospect of $5 a gallon gasoline some time this summer. Cancel that road trip.

And partly due to high gas prices, grocery prices are also going up. Have you bought coffee, milk , juice or bread lately? It's enough to make you lose your appetite. Trying to buy a home? Trying to sell one? Good luck with that.

Three quarters of Americans think the country is on the wrong track, and over 80 percent say the job market is nowhere near where it should be. Half of the respondents to the poll do not believe that Obama has a plan to balance the budget, and almost 60 percent think the Republicans have no plan either.

According to the results of this poll, anger is affecting Americans' everyday lives. Many say that cannot sleep at night. Their sex lives are affected. Twenty-six percent of married respondents said that the country's economic woes have taken a toll on their marriage, half of them saying it has made their marriage worse.

Americans needs to take this anger and focus it like a laser beam on the one responsible for the problems we are facing. And it's not God or the Republicans.

It's Barack Obama.

It's Obama's policies that have triggered the anger. He is responsible for the high unemployment rate. His failed stimulus policy has failed to ignite the job market, and his ideas on raising taxes on high income earners and businesses will definitely not result in job growth.

Gas prices are also the result of Obama's failed energy policy. Yes, we should be looking at alternative forms of energy, but Obama's refusal to consider drilling in places such as ANWR is abominable. Drilling domestically would not necessarily bring down prices at the pump immediately, but it would send a clear message to foreign oil companies that we are becoming energy independent.

Food prices would also stabilize with falling gasoline prices. Food prices are expected to soar up to 4 percent this year, after rising only 0.8 percent in 2010, according to the U.S. Consumer Price Index. Transportation costs play a major factor in the steep price hikes.

As for balancing the budget, that will never happen under a president whose economic policies are heavy on taxing and spending. Congressional Republicans do indeed want to balance the budget. Paul Ryan's plan to cut $4.4 trillion dollars from the federal deficit has been met with strong opposition from the Obama administration and the Democrats, going so far as to paint the plan as throwing seniors over a cliff, even though Medicare as it stands now is unsustainable.

As for the housing market, again, the blame can be placed firmly at the feet of Obama.

The slump in the housing industry is directly tied into unemployment. People without jobs cannot afford to buy homes. Before purchasing a home, buyers want to be sure they have good job security and a stable income. And younger people, finding the working world increasingly hostile, are choosing to live with their parents until they can find steady employment.

Obama's failed policies keep the housing market thin.

Americans need to take their anger out on the person responsible for placing them in the predicament they now find themselves in. Barack Hussein Obama.

And the best way to vent that anger is to carry it to the polls in 2012, and elect a true fiscal conservative to the presidency, as well as replacing the Democrats in the Senate and the House.

Otherwise, the anger will only get worse, and could result in the types of situations we have witnessed in Egypt, Libya, Yemen and Algeria.

And that type of civil unrest would be a disaster for this nation.

All anger towards God is unjustified. Our people need to look in the mirror first and then deal with themselves. Then all things will fall into place.

“And some of that anger is justified.”

Some? I’d say, ALL!

Some fault lines are beginning to appear. Some on the libtard left have their knickers in a twist over the 73% increase in the number of government limousines under Obama.

it should be directed towards to the people who voted Obama into office. When Obama is gone, they’ll still be there...as stupid as ever.

“Bump in the road?”

Obama is a “bump in the intestine”...otherwise known as a bolus.

Yup, he is indeed a piece of s***.

"Their sex lives are affected."

Okay, now it's getting serious. We have to do something about this...

I loathe Obama’s politial ideology and its consequences as much as anyone, but it is silly to focus anger on Obama individually. Of course he is President, but he is still just one man. He’d have been nowhere without Pelosi and Reid. Furthermore, much of the economic mess really is not Obama’s fault; it precedes his presidency.

Codevilla has it right: the problem is America’s ruling elite, and that includes much if not most of Republican leadership. I seriously doubt anything would be materially better if either McCain or Clinton had defeated Obama, and things could be worse. In fact, focusing anger on Obama individually is counterproductive because it makes the charge of “racism” plausible.

Focusing strictly on Obama would be damaging to America. We have to focus on Obama, AND the Democrat Party. Before Obama the Party had their say during the Bush Administration from 2006 onward, and that’s when everything went to “H” in a handbasket.

Long ago the DemoRATS were literally taken over by radical Marxists, and powered by the monies of powerful, cunning lunatics such as Soros, and others. Long before Clinton, but during his tenure as President we saw a prelude to what is today, and basically it’s all the same people involved as with the Clinton’s. Clinton was a much better liar than Obama.

We have to focus on the enemy. The enemy is Obama, the Democrat Party, and the RINO’s leading the GOP, NOT JUST OBAMA.

We cannot afford another Soros spoiler on the GOP ticket, because we cannot afford another four years of Obama, and the Democrat Party supporting a RINO will give us.

Americans should be angry at the atheistic socialists...Obama is among them, but certainly he is not the one who indoctrinated the past few GENERATIONS of atheistic socialists among us.

Obama didn't make the anti-male feminist who believes she has a right to kill children and enslave fathers, he certainly agrees with them and promotes them, but he didn't make them.

Obama didn't make the secularist Catholics and Christians, who believe God's laws are outdated and that He needs to get with the times and stop being so H8ful and “offensive,”

I could go on...but we all know, it was the teachers in our public schools and our clergy in their feel-good-about-being-wimpy religious institutions that have accomplished most everything that has us mad...including being mad about what OBama has done in this short term of office. He could never have done it without help from atheistic secular socialists in our midst for generations.

This ain't going away ANYTIME soon.

The brick wall of ever more restrictive regulations, and the rising energy costs with no relief in sight, just keeps getting built higher and higher.

At this point, nobody ever expects the now failing nascent obama regime to “get it”. They blithley continue to double down, in some evanescent hope that the answer will magically appear, and that nasty old “fossil fuels” will be somehow replaced by “green energy” sources.

Magical thinking has rarely yielded any tangible results.

I don’t quite see how your post responds to mine, but Obama’s energy policy is the one thing that could not be worse. It’s freaking insane.

O’zero is a volunteer for this, not a victim. He made promises about employment and the economy that aren’t being kept. His nose should be rubbed in it. keep it on him with a laser focus. He’s the elite of the elites.
