Who ever thought the saying, Its the economy stupid from James Carville in 1992 would become a staple in presidential elections 20 years later?
That expression made its way into the campaign in 2008 and according to Carville it could be theme of the 2012 campaign as well as President Barack Obama seeks reelection. In an appearance Mondays Imus in the Morning on the Fox Business Network, the former Clinton adviser said if improvements werent made in gains in the unemployment picture based on the May jobs number, it could be a rough road for the president.
[L]ook, I dont think anybody if 54,000 new jobs is the new standard, its going to be a very, very rough 2012 for President Obama, Carville said. But three-month average was 160,000. If that is the case, then he will do OK. I cant tell you what will happen. But yes, if this, if this last jobs number is an indication of future job numbers, its going to be very, very rough.
Carville cited a 2009 book by Carmen M. Reinhart and Kenneth Rogoff called This Time Is Different: Eight Centuries of Financial Folly. According to the book, the current economic situation, as with similar crises of this magnitude, take time to work themselves out and theres little Obama may be able to do.

I believe you left out Hate Whitey, Hate Christians and Hate Israel.
Escape to where?
I live in the northwoods and doubt anyone from the cities will be welcome here.
Big city folks are there because they can make more money, have more diversity in jobs, etc.
We in the toolies make less money but have a richer life although it is very expensive. Why should we give it up to outsiders?
“Civil Unrest” in this country is an absolute certainty. The only question is when will it start-if it hasn’t started already with the various “mob” attacks and store looting.
He might be banking on civil unrest, cancel the elections and try to set himself up for life but it won’t work out the way he might believe it will.
FUBO & FAD
The “civil unrest” will occur when Obama loses in a landslide.
Watts, 1965 here we go again.
They’re not going to threaten you into voting for someone.
They’re going to goad you into being the example for others.
what the narcissistic idjit forgot...is that you NEED Republican values, work ethics, taxation rates and regulatory levels to produce enough jobs so that you get to keep power.
Bill Clinton...as personally repulsive as he was, understood this. Hogs get slaughtered.
Civil unrest would be highly desirable to the Barack Hussein Obama/New World Order cabal. They would use that excuse to open their first complete Nazi dictatorship. They would NOT close it when the “emergency” was past.
I am not scared. I spent 20 years fighting for my Country and am willing to die for my freedom and liberties.
God gave us free will. With that, He will be watching us to see how we account for ourselves. Will we cower or will we stand up and do the right thing? Just like our Founding Fathers. They put everything they had on the line and became criminals in the eyes of the British. I do not mind being looked upon as a criminal by the like of Obambi and the leftist thugs. I will fight for God and our Country.
why would they change now...???
I just don’t think they got the belly for it....
after all, all those years of the marxist indoctrination (education) system; Hollyweird and the fourth estate media, etc, etc.
not likely even...of course there are always exceptions...
most real Americans are dinosaur stage now, so...
Semper Thinking....
what is is with these ‘progressives’? They’re always calling for violence.
I got yelled at yesterday on Facebook for (supposedly) crossing the PC line so I thought I would go easy.
I hope you’re wrong, but it is never a bad idea to be prepared for bad times. Even Andrew Tobias (liberal flamer) has been making those points in his financial books for over two decades. In my opinion, it’s part of good citizenship.
Mel Tappan call your office.
I believe in praying for America, but we have far outdone the holocaust since Roe vs. Wade.
Our Lord has always used the evil of raging heathen nations as His tool for judgment upon rebellious but once Godly nations.
People in Martin Luther’s “Holy” Germany never thought they could enable something like the holocaust, either.
Their ignorance and apathy made them tools of the devil.
Thanks for the reminder to prepare, from NIV Proverbs 22:3. Our government is there for protection from enemies, not to take care of our basic needs. We should also be ready to help our neighbors—sadly, who most likely will not prepare for difficult times ahead. Sadly, I think the plan of the Marxist elite is to crash the system, to make all of us more dependent and easier to control.
He once remarked, off handedly, that America could withstand a nuclear attack - a shiver went up my spine as I thought "maybe a planned little dirty bomb - blame it on jihadists and install Martial Law - thereby, canceling elections, shutting Congress down for 6 months - at the end of which time, all will be mute.
Then he and his private government of czars will reign supreme.
Wild? Study history. It's replete with narcissist despots.
Dittos..I remember that remark by him. The man is out to destroy this country.
>>”...civil unrest imminently possible<<
>All part of the plan.<
I said a few days ago to someone that Obama rallied with his cousin Odinga and started a genocide when Odinga lost his election of “Hope and change”. If Obama took part in starting a genocide in Kenya for his cousins position (which he got eventually under threat of more killings and mutilations) how much more will Obama do for himself?
This has been the plan from the onset. Crush the system under the weight of social programs, have civil unrest - then use some form of martial law to institute a new government where “the won” rules with unquestioned authority.
He is probably getting very tired of dealing with that pesky congress always cutting into his elbow room. That dumb constitution and all us ignorant people who are bitterly clinging to our guns and bibles anyway.
