The meats were like a bad joke gone bad. $7-10 for a small package of chicken breasts. I got enough food for a week and it was $107. The cashier lady told me some woman (when she noticed) milk at $4 a gallon asked if there was s milk shortage. Are people this stupid?
I am truly afraid for this country in so many ways and as the cashier lady said she told the ditz lady it will get far worse before it gets better. And the cashier was in her 20's and she figured this out- so there is some hope this age group knows to vote out Impeach Obama NOW!
The hogs here are smart. We trap them. On the farm is a building where we make link sausage (beef). It has a walk-in box, commercial Hobart sausage mill, meat slicer and butcher’s bandsaw. We have made many batches of wild hog sausage too.
A country boy can survive.
My God, what are the standard cows being fed???
In China, it's melamine, lead, and cadmium; in the States, it's pre-2008 currency (minimum denomination, $50). /sarc>
Cheers!
It is.
Good. Very very good.
Why aren't GOP advertising operatives or conservative leaders instituting a nation-wide "Misery Index" which was so effective during the Carter years?
People still remember this Index. I know folks who can still quote the figures from it!
The GOP index should include real figures, not Obama's deceitful figures which omit rising food and energy costs from the inflation index to gull the public.
Let's promote an Obama "Misery Index" at every opportunity.
I'm putting a blurb about it on my tag line.

Yes some 20 somethings see things right, but not as many as used to, against Obama the Republicans only got 32% of the 18 to 29 year old vote.
‘Organic’ fed beef cows do not get injected with growth hormones in their buttocks.
you are right and a lot of people became aware of them the last grocery strike out there. Non union workers, making money and no strikes.
Here is a current thread about the misery index.

My God, what are the standard cows being fed???
Distillers dried grain, cotton seed, wheat middlins & alot of other things we do not want to get into, & this is what they feed dairy cows we dont even want to get into what we feed beef cattle at the feedlots.
It is much higher in Florida.
Obama wrote an EO that will make all natural herbs ( I SWEAR BY MANY- say goodbye to organics and GNC) illegal in correlation with the UN crap. I have no idea if the traitor Odumbo can make it law or when.
PhDs in economic from Harvard inform us that there is no inflation. Now who are you going to believe, award winning specialists or your own lying eyes? In fact we are suffering from a serious deflation. Have you seen the prices on grand pianos?
The Super 912 Seniors have been doing this for a few months after being asked to monitor certain food items by Glen Beck. The prices have been going up by leaps and bounds during this time along with gasoline. Yet according to Obama there is no inflation. The Obama administration took food and energy off the calculations. Nothing but big fat lies. Grey Eagle
It should be updated weekly and handed out to the national media in a press release every week.
It should be labeled "The Obama Misery Index". It can be used by us, the activists, in a million ways, including sticking it in spots at the supermarkets.
I'd love to drop a few little Index stickies at my local Starbucks hangouts for young adults, hah!
Just blabbing and whining about inflation and unemployment, etc. figures to each other on forums does NOT do the trick!

I agree.
I’ve got a few I bonds, These are Inflation protection bonds issued by the US treasury. Every 6 months they set a new rate for the bonds. This happens in May and November. Well the new rate is 4.6%. The previous 6 months was 1.8%. Nah, there’s no inflation.
