BEFORE the paper went to print?
How did the White House get a pre-print copy and do they do that regularly somehow?

Anything portraying Dear Leader [or his consort] in a negative light must be censored?
WOW, that kind of crap normally only happens in dictatorships.
Notice the press was free to portray Dubya and Mrs Dubya in a negative light any day they wanted to?

She should now write: “I noticed the pilots starting to panic because they couldn’t get the chopper off the ground due to the First Lady’s fat arse!”

Have any newspapers made note of moochelle’s perpetual scowl? Time to start. Mention her expensive fatty meals and how she wants kids to eat only veggies too.

The pilots are by now quite used to the sudden tilt and lowering of the chopper when Moochelle makes her entry.

I once was on the ramp at Charlotte Int'l, parked about 200' from Marine #1 and a bunch of Blackhawks. I thought it cool to walk over and snap a few pictures. I got an education about marines and Helicopters when it comes to access. It was from the pov at the business end of a large caliber handgun. Not funny! Those are some serious crews.
Inside the General Aviation building they were very nice, but not apologetic. You do not ever approach a marine helicopter. I asked if I could drive the fuel truck and fuel them when it came time for their departure? I was told I could drive the truck down the flight line, and wait by the truck while they pumped their own fuel. They actually post a 24 hour armed guard group on security to make sure their aircraft stays secure.
No offense, but they really don't want to talk to the first lady either, regardless of who she may be. One very professional bunch of hands-on types who would just as soon shoot you dead than to let you near the aircraft.
The press was right about the constant eye contact thing. They are aware of your every move and possible risk.

The Press.
They are told what questions they may ask.
They are told what answers they may give.
The Fourth Estate is a pathetic joke. Even as it reaches down into a tiny little podunk weekly.
To: Justaham
I thought it was interesting, though, that the [White House] was concerned enough about image to contact a little weekly paper in Pleasanton.
Hey lady. When your poll numbers are in the toilet, image is everything. They don't want the 4 people that read your rag to have a bad opinion of such a stellar person.
