Why would anyone like Sarah Palin?
The Auburn Journal ^ | February 21, 2011

Posted on 02/21/2011 9:12:54 PM PST by 2ndDivisionVet

I am beginning to question myself as to why I ever liked Sarah Palin. Why would I like someone that has faith in religion? Why on earth, would I like someone that has faith in her country for crying out loud? Why would I have faith in someone with values?

Granted, there are those people out there such as Lady Gaga and Madonna to look up to, but Sarah? She didn’t enjoy being governor of Alaska, they say-thank goodness she stepped down! She didn’t want being under the microscope of the press to interfere with her job as governor! Such gall to step down after that!

She wants jobs for Americans IN America? How dare she!! She wants factories here on OUR precious soil, to create manufacturing jobs?? Not In My Back Yard she’s not! Not only that, but she actually smiles for the camera’s that hound her relentlessly! No frowny looks for the media to have a field day with! How dare she smile! How dare she make a buck off of the liberals that cannot get enough of her! She actually makes my eyes glaze over when she goes on and on about how much untouched oil America has too! Good thing we don’t have our own oil supply so the gas can climb to the sky, with all the Mid-East turmoil!

Wow, and guns-she does love those gun rights of Americans. I bet she even uses her second amendment rights and owns more than one gun, gosh darn it! And she kills animals and EATS them too! And so does her family! No going to the store for packaged meat for HER family. She actually practices what she preaches! She should take a lesson from Michelle Obama. Tell the country to eat correctly and then head to Vale, Colorado for a ski vacation on our country’s dime. And while she is there, have servings of ribs at 1500 calories per serving with 120 grams of fat. I am starting to think what a fool I have been for being so dang blind! Sheesh!!

You either believe in states rights, or you don’t.

Thanks 2ndDivisionVet. I had suspected Korea, but was kinda hoping you had been around from the 2nd Division in the Ardennes. Just looking for some info that was lost during the St. Louis fire in 1973. My Father was with an organic combat engineering group attached to the 2nd. He was highly decorated, but save for his accomplishments at Remagen, I have been unable to track down any records. Thanks for the quick response and your service.

Then who, specifically, would you be willing to vote for?

You either believe in states rights, or you don’t.

That's not the question. The question is if you believe those "rights" trump the God-given, unalienable rights of the people.

Do you?

I was born in 1960, so service in World War II would’ve been difficult. LOL As a veteran’s employment rep. at the state unemployment office I ran into a lot of veterans with lost records from that fire. IIRC, they’ve been trying to piece things together, without a lot of luck. My dad was a Marine in WWII, Korea and Vietnam. Lost him back in 2002.

You are right don’t back off!!!!! Look at the site, who do they have as the best one defending pro life? ALAN KEYS!

but Billy Graham, George W Bush, Jay Sekulo and even Right to Life and Concern Women For America are not pro life enough for them

They said that Billy Graham Did Not Warn Christians of the Pro-Abortion Policies of George W. Bush so he is a supporter of abortion?

Anyone who measures up to the plumb line of America’s founding principles.

Who will:

Honor God.

Defend the God-given, unalienable rights to life, liberty, and private property of every innocent person, from creation until natural death.

Defend the God-given institution of one man-one woman marriage and the natural family.

Defend the Right to Keep and Bear Arms.

Defend our national sovereignty, security, and borders through a firm Peace through Strength foreign policy.

Defend the federalist form of representative, republican, constitutionally-limited self-government — based on the rule of law, not of men — bequeathed to us by our forebears.

Defend the Constitution of the United States, and demand that the oath of office be kept by every officer of American government, in every branch, and at every level.

Anyone....

There's a reason I added the word 'specifically'. Who, specifically, would you be willing to vote for?

The difference between me and those who are supporting Palin is that they’ve made her their plumb line, sadly.

My plumb line is the founding principles expressed in our Declaration of Independence and the Constitution.

I haven’t endorsed anyone for president in 2012. I’m working to reestablish what should be the criteria for real conservatives, not just for that one office, but for every office in the land.

No one individual can save this country. Things are too far gone for that nonsense. Only a mass return of the people to the founding principles, and a widespread commitment to following them without compromise can do that.

....”Palin is going to win the nomination and by unelectable or divert votes from conservative candidates like Herman Cain or Michele Bachmann that are electable”....

NEXT time, you got warn us, bubby, if you are going to say something SO funny! I spit Bud Light all over my key board. You are of of course kidding? The only other choice is that you are insane.

Herman Cain????

*shakes head in wonder*

And this guy is worried about taking away votes from the “real” GOP candidate??

Got to clean up my mess.

Now maybe it’s just me, but EternalVigilance sounds like a strict hard-line perfectionist type. The one who’s not happy unless a Conservative is perfect or close.

I haven’t endorsed anyone for president in 2012.

That's not what I'm asking. I'm asking who you would be willing to support for 2012. Specifically, is there anyone that currently meets your standards? Anyone at all?

Since Our Savior and Our Lord & Master Jesus Christ hasn’t returned, I think he’ll be disappointed. But he won’t have to vote for Our Lord for any office, merely bow down like every other creature in the universe.

You're still on this thread? You've already admitted that you favor Romney over Palin. You don't have any credibility.
