Food “Safety” Modernization Act! (Last chance - scheduled for vote 7pm today)
FreedomWorks ^ | Nov 22, 2010 | Julie Borowski

Beck and others are telling you - TODAY at 7pm Senate is scheduled to vote.

If passed, the misnamed Food Safety and Modernization Act would authorize the FDA to tell farmers how to grow their crops. Federal bureaucrats who likely know little to nothing about farming will set the guidelines on appropriate temperatures, what soil to use, how much water to use and what animals are allowed to be on certain fields.

S. 510, the Food Safety Modernization Act, gives broad powers to the FDA to regulate small farms and gardens.

" This is EXACTLY what Chairman Mao did to Chinese agriculture in the 1960s... put farmers at the mercy of abstract bureaucratic rules. "

" The result was MASS STARVATION."

Whenever folks meet them on the street or in groups or meetings . . .

I think they should call them out as hideous traitors and then spit—even if they have to into a cup. Just spit. If in a cup, hand it to them and tell them it’s what they are worth.

Since this is a Senate vote, I gather it’s already passed the house???? In that form? Or a compromise version is needed?

I hear ya.

I can't help but think that if these traitors had mailboxes overflowing with letters from angry constituents every day of the week, that they'd vote differently.

This is the sort of thing that happens when the electorate doesn't supervise their employees.

I wish I were that optimistic.

The evidence is that as one congress critter traitor admitted—they haven’t given a flip for constituents for decades.

Their bosses are the globalist elites and they know it . . . whether from bribes or threats.

I read the article and picked up that it will cost 1.4 billion dollars and will require the hiring of 17,000 new bureaucrats. These insane people are going whole hog to increase government and spend the country into oblivion or Greece.

Vitter is still undecided b/c of the (I heard her say “tester” amendment....) which she said would completely change the whole bill...(what is a tester amendment? who is tester? Was she saying Specter?) Anyone???

I told her adding an amendment to a bill that changed the whole thing was the dumbest thing I ever heard of!

I live in an Italian neighborhood. I have friends that plant 100 tomato plants. Do they have to “register” with the FDA now?
