Charles Krauthammer on Friday tore into the liberal media for being obsessed with former Alaska governor Sarah Palin.
After Krauthammer scolded the "editorial judgment" of the producers of PBS's "Inside Washington" for week after week prominently displaying her as the "only representative of conservatism of any importance" in this nation, the Washington Post's Colby King proved his point (video follows with transcript and commentary):

What is stopping them?
Nothing having to do with Palin.
Your statement that 30% of the GOP will not vote for Palin under any circumstance is utter BS!
Hey I can see President Palin press conference now,
“Are you going to drill for oil in Amwar?”
“You Betcha!”
I didn’t say how people label themselves. I said the country is more leftist. It is. It’s a vastly different country today.
Haley? You really do want to LOSE, don’t you!
The media is not doing this for election 2012. They are doing this because Palin brings viewers. And viewers bring advertisers. And advertisers bring mo’ money.
Money makes the world go round. If they think President Palin meant they would make more money they’d throw Obama overboard in a minute.
Ditto to everything you said.
The media LOVED McCain - he had nothing but positive stroking from the press - until the day he was the nominee.
If it was their goal to push Sarah to be the nominee, they’d be treating her with sugar & spice and everything nice. Instead, they haven’t stopped attacking her since the day she was nominated as VP in 2008.
However, have you seen a full-length photo of him? He's as wide and round as he is tall. He looks like one of the familiar guys pictured in post # 50. The man could not stand the rigors of the hectic, fast-paced, almost two-year long campaigns of today. He would keel over stone cold in a Mississippi minute.
Besides, his mouth is so full of grits that it type-casts him as a provincial southerner....wrongly, of course, as he's a brilliant man.........but this is how the 'coon sits in the tree.
On another subject, it's time for all Palin supporters who are able to do so to make a decision to run for delegate to the 2012 national GOP convention. We have to stack the place. The RINO establishment elites are going to do the same and are already working on it.
Unfortunately, they get to name many courtesy delegates in every state who don't have to be elected.....and their selections are NOT going to be mainly Tea Party types, adherents or admirers, namely folks like us.
Start saving your money....it costs a lot of dough to be a national convention delegate. You foot the bill yourself if you're elected. Sometimes fellow conservatives pitch in to help out.

Some brands can stand the over exposure. When the product being exposed has substance it can take the exposure. Palin isn’t just a pretty face - and that’s what worries them.

5 minutes of his talk and and I've used the whole bottle of NO-DOZE!
In 2012-ANYONE BUT Obama. Who would I vote for over Obama?
1. Sarah Palin
2. Mitt Romney
3. Mike Huckleface
4. John McCain
5. David Duke
6. Evita Peron
7. Hillary Clinton
8. Glenn Beck
9. Jerry Brown
10. Orrin Hatch
B Xroads makes a good pt, i.e., if the Left really wish her to be the GOP nominee why attack her now?
;>).
Where do I find recent statistics that cause you to state emphatically Sarah Palin can not win against Obama?
Considering the midterm gains and the momentum of the “fed up” in this country, I am interested in reviewing analysis supporting your forgone conclusion.
Seem’s being practicle has served the conservative movement so well... /sarc
