Charlie Cook: “Obama has to Pray every Night for Republicans to Nominate Sarah Palin” – Video

Here is video of renowned political prognosticator Charlie Cook reacting to President Obama’s recent arrogant assertion that, “I don’t think about Sarah Palin.” Cook told MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell that Obama “has to pray every night for Republicans to nominate Sarah Palin,” because she is a “no fly zone” for Independent voters according to him. Obama was dismissive of Palin after being asked if he thought he could beat her in a potential 2012 matchup for President. Cook cited Palin’s poor showing in polls among Independent voters as the reason why Obama has to be hoping for a Palin nomination in 2012.

Obama had better be careful what he wishes for.

You are NO different than those who saw Obama as the Messiah. You see Sarah Palin as the Messiah.

Freerepublic being conservative, and Palin country, you will run into many Palin supporters here.

Re #142:

For the most part Jim DeMint has said he is not running for president. He always leaves the door open just a crack though and because he has become such a power broker among conservatives there is regular speculation about his intentions.

Something about the anti-social conservative crowd draws them to mock Christianity, and faith.

indylindy I can’t find anything one way or another on Barbour’s position on The Law of the Sea Treaty.

He opposes Cap and Trade here:

As for climate change I know he’s been opposed to legislation on climate change so I assume (for whatever that’s worth) that he doesn’t buy it.

Thanks, just trying to compare records of candidates.

This is a plus for him.

I guess the reason we don’t find LOST when checking out governors was because it was a federal issue and not a state issue.

We already have one blue (-lipped) communist in the White House; why would I want to put in another?

Huck, thanks for the answer. Looks like it generated a lot of discussion.

Ask her, if the race in 2012 is between Palin and Obama, who would she vote for?

Then we know if there is hope or not. ;)

How is that different than anyone else who is running? Has ANYONE declared they are running...or aren’t they all in wait and see mode???

This may be the one thing that zer0bama has in common with better than half the population of the US.

Ask her, if the race in 2012 is between Palin and Obama, who would she vote for?

I did ask her. She said she'd stay home. It's funny, because every year I like to poll my in-laws, because they are such perfect samples of independent northeastern voters. Reagan Democrats, or whatever. Older, Catholic.

Anyway, the one thing I wanted to ask them about this year was Palin, and she brought it up before I ever brought up politics.

My take is that some people just plain don't like her. She's not my favorite idea of a president, but the landscape is pretty barren. Waiting to see what happens.

That's all good advice, and despite my cynical bent, I do find time to celebrate positive things. For example, our governor here in NJ--Chris Christie. I'm celebrating that guy. It's been a long time coming. Best governor we've ever had in my lifetime, and it's still early on. I'm hoping for two full terms right here in NJ for Christie. He's not perfect. He's just the best we've ever had. That'll do.

Wow, she’d stay home?!!

Well, I can’t figure everyone out either.

It would be interesting to see what she says as events unfold into the 2012 election.
