Fellow Freepers,
I want to humbly thank you for the support you gave to Christine O'Donnell here in Delaware.
So many of you gave money, prayers and moral support as we here tried to break the Democrat hold on the good people of Delaware.
Today, you will hear stories about Christine--about what a poor candidate she was, how Mike Castle was the better choice and a guaranteed win in DE for the GOP, and that she ran a poor campaign.
Believe NONE of it. I had the distinct pleasure of meeting and talking with Christine numerous times during this campaign as Mrs.exit82 and I attended various campaign events.
I heard with my own ears what she stood for, what she would do in the Senate, especially in the lame duck session. I saw her interact with all kinds of people, even those opposed to her. I saw her stand up for the unborn, for the Constitution, for fiscal sanity, for repealing Obamacare, for upholding conservative principles.
I also know that Mike Castle would NOT have won Delaware. The Democrats would not have elected a faux Democrat when they could have voted for a real one in Coons. Obama and Biden would never have come here to help Mike Castle.
As far as running a poor campaign, I don't think so. She had a little more than eight weeks to ramp up an organization, from a shoe-string in the primary, all in the face of no help from her own party in the beginning, and the media onslaught against her.
After all, why discuss issues when we can discuss dabbling in witchcraft 25 years ago, whether she paid her bills, whether she believes in evolution or not.
In the end, it was not enough. The braindead people in Northern Delaware, who had their property taxes raised by Coons three times, over 50%, just couldn't resist pulling the "D" lever one more time.
Christine O'Donnell has guts. She took the hits and did her best. Her defeat of Mike Castle changed Delaware politics forever.
Anyway, no doubt she will be analyzed and criticized and joked about ad infinitum.
However, to me, she is me. And I am proud of her. She helped change the landscape across the country by sticking to her principles.
The purpose of this post is just to say "thank you" to all you Freepers that helped in any way to get her elected. You buoyed our efforts, knowing there were folks all over pulling for us.
Freepers are the best people on the planet. I have been one since late 1998, and I have seen that over and over.
Words are inadequate, but I hope you all know how much I, and we here in Delaware, appreciate all of YOUR efforts on behalf of our little state.
This was one battle, not the war.Our country is worth fighting for, and I sincerely hope Christine will once again be in the fight for all of us.
Thank you, Freepers. You are the best.
Aw, shucks.
Twarn’t nuthin.
After all, ...
The Class of 98 does heavy lifting still.
Set your sights on 2012.
She did a good job. She was literally buried by the media, the leftists (I know, the same thing) and even that idiot Rove and his minions.
Your welcome. I did give a considerable amount to try and help, and I would do it again in a heartbeat!! Don’t give up......and I do not believe a word about Mike Castle being the better candidate. NO WAY!!!
She did very well and has absolutely nothing to regret. She was an inspiration and always had an upbeat attitude and she will be back.
Give Christine our love and unwavering gratitude. She’s the best, in my book.
I would rather lose w/a Conservative than win w/a Lib. Give her our best.
Pray for America
Jim—thank you, too. I made Chrisitine aware of the efforts of the Freepers on her behalf and she was most grateful to FreeRepublic.
Perhaps she will run again in the future and win.
She strikes me as a decent lady, and would have had my vote.
Beyond that...the Hell is wrong with people in Delaware...and Nevada? (yourself not included)
I think the chances of me going to Nevada and spending in one red cent has just dropped to NEVER.
Christine was THE conservative in the race. I’d much rather fight for the Conservative than ‘go along’ with the supposedly ‘more electable’ R. Especially when it was a fairly sure thing that this R would more than likely support many elements of Obama’s horrible agenda.
No, supporting Christine was the right thing to do, regardless of this outcome. This race, and all of the contests voted on yesterday, was not just about collecting ‘R’s. At least, I didn’t see it that way. So, there will be one less RINO in DC. That IS a good thing. Regardless of what a few here seem to think.
cheers, and onto 2012!

Don’t feel so bad. Here in NY we elected two Dims to the Senate.
As much as I wanted O’Donnell and all the other “Tea Partiers” to win, I’d rather lose than put another RINO in office to screw us down the road. A strong message was sent to the Republican party to stop trying to shove RINOs down our throats. And now Obambi can’t come out in 2012 and call this a “do nothing congress” like Truman in ‘48 and Clinton in ‘96, because the dims run the Senate,
Not to worry...we haven't seen the last of this remarkable lady. She's young, bright and has a great future ahead of her...in politics or who knows where?
Mike Castle would not have won here. Thank Tokyo Rove for that canard.
Yes, that us true. And if I could have smacked Karl Rove in his self-righteous, smug little round face, I would have not stopped until it was gone! What these bas terds did to Christine O’Donnell during this election was abhorrent and obscene!
We all need to pray that Coons and all of his buds keep their mouths switched on overload. We need to know EVERY action of EVERY brain cell.
Bless you guys in DE. Our state of Mexifornia turned bluer than ever.
Well, Freeper Palladin must be celebrating O Donnell’s loss..
I thought she was a terrific candidate. She kept her composure, and her good attitude under great pressure and against daunting odds.
