Yesterday, on Sunday, September 19, 2010, the Obama family attended church for only the third time in a year. They went on foot to the St. John’s Episcopal Church situated across the Lafayette Park.
But what is widely not reported by the White House and the MSM is that on that particular Sunday in that particular church, Dr. Ziad Asali, M.D., a Muslim, founder and president of the American Task Force on Palestine, was the guest speaker. He was there to speak on the subject of “Prospects of the two-state solution in the Middle-East.”
According to the website of the American Task Force on Palestine, it is a “non-profit, non-partisan organization based in Washington, DC.” The organization describes itself as “dedicated to advocating that it is in the American national interest to promote an end to the conflict in the Middle East through a negotiated agreement that provides for two states – Israel and Palestine – living side by side in peace and security.”
Dr. Ziad J. Asali is described as “a long-time activist on Middle East issues” who has testified to both chambers of Congress about Palestinian interests, increased U.S. aid to the Palestinian Authority, and “Israel’s disproportionate use of force” in Gaza. A retired physician, Asali received his early medical training at the American University of Beirut. He previously served as President of the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) and Chairman of the American Committee on Jerusalem (ACJ), which he also co-founded He also served as the President of the Arab-American University Graduates (AAUG).

I disagree.
All the information on this jerk was readily available. We had all we needed to know he was a communist, jew-hating, mohamhead sycophant. The general public had access to the same information, but was too lazy to dig into his past, or too stupid to understand the implications.
If mac daddy is so smart did he not consider what the reaction would be when the real reason for going to the church became know?
Then again when you entire life is nothing but lies I do not suppose , at this stage, you would be able to tell the difference.

Has anybody asked why an Episcopal Church was hosting a Muslim speaker during a Sunday Mass Service?
“Prospects of the two-state solution in the Middle-East.” sounds like a real good topic for a sermon. It probably didn’t leave much time for a traditional Christian service, it was the type of service 0bama would like.

What a crazy coincidence! I’ve gone to mass, almost without exception, every Sunday (or Saturday evening) for over 10 years now, and have never heard a Muslim speaker on the pulpit, or someone talking about the need to take Israeli land to create an independent Palestinian state. But Obama goes to church like twice a year, and somehow gets a Muslim, pro-Palestinian speaker at a Christian service. What are the odds of that!

Speaking as an ex-Episcopalian, I will say that that “Church” has been a lost cause for a long time. They have became a non-Church.
For about 200 years they were named the “Protestant Episcopal Church in the U.S. They dropped the “Protestant” label in the late 80’s or so. (I suppose they thought that made ‘em sound too Conservative)
They had been downplaying Biblical authority for many years and that finally resulted in the totally unbiblical descision to Ordain women to the Clergy. That wasn’t enough for ‘em so they started ordaining Homo’s to the Ministry and then on to be Bishops as well.
They should now rename themselves again to the “Pagan Episcopal Church”.
“Next week he can go to a mosque that has a Jewish speaker.”
Actually, it seems he can accomplish that by just revisiting the same church next Sunday and staying for the 10 AM forum. The speaker, who is Jewish, is a former state department authority on Mideast peace negotiations.
