But if that man was Rush Limbaugh, and you were Sarah Spitz, a producer for National Public Radio, that isn’t what you’d do at all.
In a post to the list-serv Journolist, an online meeting place for liberal journalists, Spitz wrote that she would “Laugh loudly like a maniac and watch his eyes bug out” as Limbaugh writhed in torment.

This deal is huge! I have been following this crap for almost 2 years. I started reading Radley Balko’s site www.theagitator.com becuase I thought he had some good points about police overkill. Well in between his police reporting he would comment on politics and news of the day, and these comments were so similar to what you were seeing at liberal blogs, it was scary and obvious. Now Balko claims to be a Libertarian, but his positions were almost identical to say Andrew Sullivan, or the folks over at New Republic. Just about the time the folks at Journolist start looking for a conservative to call a racist (Fred Barnes, Karl Rove doesn’t matter) Balko has an online rant against Haley Barbour. It totally came out of left-field, and it was stupid, and basically called Barbour a racist. I commented on his site about the facts and it sparked one the the biggest comment discussions in the history of his blog. Now Balko is at Reason magazine and is close buddies with Dave Weigel and has said himself he likes to pal around with folks from The Atlantic. He is on the blog roles of almost all of these liberals mentioned in the Journolist scandal. For the record he has denied being on the Journolist himself, but curiously he almost daily now is bashing sites like the Daily Caller and Breitbart.
My point is, want to be a liberal, fine don’t call yourself a libertarian! Want to be a journalist, fine don’t lie about what your motives are!
