Nice work, SEIU. Service Employee International Union members descended upon the home of a banker to protest the banker's work. The banker wasn't home but his teenage son was and he was home alone and the 14 bus loads of union thugs scared the heck out of the poor kid.
This was no political protest, it was an inciting, angry mob of union thugs. The Fortune Magazine piece that reported the incident made a salient point about the whole thing.
Targeting homes and families seems to put SEIU in the ranks of (now jailed) radical animal-rights activists and the Kansas anti-gay fundamentalists harassing the grieving parents of a dead 20-year-old soldier at his funeral (the Supreme Court has agreed to weigh in on the latter). But that's not a conversation that SEIU officials want to have.Amusingly, Nina Easton makes another great point in the friendly coverage of this outrageous union thuggery. The Old Media didn't even attend and the whole thing was covered by an activist Huffington Post blogger...

I would have opened fire from my upstairs window at the farthest from the home so as to get the most as they flee.
There is a setting on their weapons that change from semi to full auto in that case. And I'm serious, if they're trespassing and menacing a child and then shift into full riot mode they need to be gunned down like the rabid violent criminals they are.
All the police needed to do was to send two officers down in one car. One officer sits in the car while the other one calmly and slowly walks up to whoever is in charge and says, “Hi, the gentleman who owns this house just wants to go in and get his son so they can leave. Do you mind not blocking the door for a minute, and we’ll be gone in two shakes of a lambs tail”.
Or, tell them to clear off private property and stay out of the street so as to not impede traffic and not to be too loud as to disturb the neighbors...it's a residential neighborhood. If someone was having a loud party the police wouldn't hesitate to tell them to pipe down.
No country wisdom for these modern city cops. Their first and only thought is “swat team” instead of the small peaceful approach. We are doomed.
We are doomed if we're going to allow a criminal organization to terrorize children. If it'd been my house, I would have been strongly tempted to address the situation myself out of fear...and then any deaths would be the fault of the police.
The unions are more dangerous than that Hutaree group...so why aren't the police arresting the criminals? It's because they have presidential backing by the criminal in chief.

Plus, as a general councilor, he is an attorney. I hope he takes all those scum protesters and their backers to court and nails each and every one for everything they have.

I often wonder if we should adopt Alinsky like tactits and go after the individuals who selectively report and propagandize America. They are responsible for the incompetent government that we have today. They make their personal fortunes from the witholding and filtering of news. Surely they must know what they are doing, except for maybe Katie Kouric, who has no clue.

Had these morons shown up on my doorstep, the question they’d each have to individually answer is if they were willing to die for their cause. Had they made the serious error to continue threatening my family after I gave them fair warning, I would have used every legal remedy available to me under the laws of my state which includes shooting the agressor.
I doubt very seriously that any of them would have loitered if confronted because, despite their claim to any moral authority, these people are weak and despicable cowards.
I do not advocate violence and defending myself is not violence. Violence is actions taken by one or more people to deprive another individual the right to live absent of violence.
Intimidation is violence.
