The dog from Turner and Hootch. Otherwise known as a French Mastiff. They look ferocious when running or playing and are more physically active than an English Mastiff, but have similar patience.
In other words, the dog will play with the ball but is harmless and a bit of a couch warrior. When you look at YouTube clips from the movie, the dog’s tail is wagging the whole time and he is having fun. Especially the bath scene.
