If the “EU Times” is a source of the rumor, I can bet it is bogus. The EU Times is a neo-nazi front paper.

Eco-terrorism that lays waste part of an entire coastline and its businesses is such a boon for all things anti-Bush.

re: For the past few days bloggers have been speculating on whether or not North Korea engaged in sabotage to torpedo the Gulf oil rig, resulting in a massive explosion that sent the rig sinking into the Gulf and spilling thousands of barrels of oil that are now headed to the Gulf Coast.
.... someone did it. This stinks.

But, how did the NK’s get there?
Russia and China, of course!
And, we can bet that Iran is also involved. But, it will be an accident so Obama can stop ALL offshore drilling, even existing rigs.

Seems to me like these oil platforms must have their own security folks. I just don't think anyone in a putt-putt can come by and "visit."

IOW, there was a NK ship and a SK ship sailing so close to a US oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico that a torpedo from the NK ship missed the SK target and hit the rig. Sounds fishy.

At least one major mainstream media news outlet, television station WRAL in Raleigh, North Carolina, also reported the story that quotes heavily from the Russians.
Some visitor who posts this comic material on the website of WRAL is not the same as it being reported by WRAL.

I don’t think NK had anything to do with it, but if they had, Bambi would certainly have covered it up.

More likely Cuba or China.

This is just plain dumb, to the point of being hilarious. I suppose there are people that will believe it, but there are much more probable scenarios to consider. Why pick something as far fetched as NORK involvement, when it is more probable that there’s been a hardware failure?
Don’t believe much of what you read in the papers, and never believe what you read in a British paper. As my daughter says, “They’re the worstest, of the bunch”.

Yes! The North Koreans sailed their state-of-the-art submarine across the Pacific ocean, sailed around the southern tip of South America, up its east coast and snuck into the Gulf of Mexico undetected.
Its a shame they didn’t offer Greenpeace a million dollar donation to do it. It would have been just as effective and cost a lot less time and money.

Here’s the problem I have with all this....
“There was an explosion”. It’s pretty difficult to get a substance, particularly a gas, to explode unless it is confined in a pressure vessel. Hell, even gunpowder will not explode if you light it with a match unless it’s confined. Certainly not oil or gas or even hydrogen. It just burns.
