Interesting thoughts on "aliens" by Stephen Hawking. Question - Is it possible that "aliens" are really just a demonic deception that will be revealed in the last days to lead us astray?

No, I am all in favor of serious and rational discussion.
As a ham for over 50 years, I have been a big proponent of the SETI program, but in my 65 yeras, I have yet to see even the slightest evidence of ET, or the observation of anything that could be from another world.
I also find it amusing when a new president comes to office, the ET world goes all abuzz that just MAYBE this will mean “DISCLOSURE”.. All the presidents have known whats hidden in Roswell, don’tcha know.
Since Obammie is the Messiah, I am sure he will tell us any moment now.
Oh, they exist all right.

My buddy has had the belief that Aliens are likely demons and will be more heavily sighted and play a role in the end times.

Besides, sin really isn’t the issue. Sin has already been paid for at the Cross. Man is already condemned. The issue is how to have fellowship with God on His terms so that on one hand, we have fire insurance and on the other hand we have life insurance.

If Earth had something of critical value to some space-faring race, and they were here, we'd already be enslaved and working in their mines and factories.
We're not, so why are they here? To study primitive humanoids? I think they would have made all the observations they needed and would have departed long ago, if it was simply curiosity.
A culture that has the ability to move through the cosmos at faster than light speed would probably find little value in our little mud ball of a planet. They wouldn't bother going to the hassle of overcoming the natives to get after some valuable mineral or such, when they could easily get the same thing from some planet without intelligent life.
No - they're most likely monitoring this place as a potential source of contamination to the "neighborhood".

If so, and we reach for the weapons that may not only do our 'enemies' in, but do irrefutable harm to the planet that may adversely affect our solar system - maybe beyond - will they step in and stop us?
My hunch is that they wouldn't be all that benevolent, understanding, or gentle about "stopping" us. I'm pretty sure that it would be pretty heavy-handed, but that's just me - primitive humanoid that I am.

This is not likely, unless you are hiding an alien in your basement and are simply toying with me.
I've thought for many years that SETI is scanning the wrong band. They're scanning radio frequencies, but I don't think interstellar travelers would use radio at all. The fact that SETI has been scanning the heavens for so long, and have come up with nothing, has convinced me that they're probably looking in the wrong place.
As to what band SETI should be scanning, I don't know, but I do think that they made a fundamentally flawed assumption when they decided to scan the radio band.
You talk of never having seen any kind of evidence that ET exists. My son and I witnessed something once that was beyond any technology that I know of. I don't claim that what I saw is evidence of ET, but it was so far beyond any technology that I've ever seen or heard of, that I can't believe it was ours.
Actually, the evidence is that the critters are not demons—at least not most of them—but fallen angels.

Some . . . government experts and experiencers have asserted that SOME grays MAY be demons in bioengineered ‘bodies’ that last about a year or so.
All the VERY WELL CONNECTED brilliant highly trained engineers in any related field I know personally . . .
know at least part of the truths about UFO’s and ET’s.
