Marvel Comics: Captain America Says Tea Parties Are Dangerous and Racist
Publius Forum ^ | 02/08/10 | Warner Todd Huston

Marvel Comic's Captain America is the mightiest soldier with the super powerful secret soldier formula that makes him a super man. Sadly, this muscle bound hero that took on the whole Nazi army during WWII seems to be afraid of those American people who've joined the Tea Party movement. Not only is Cappy quaking in his little red booties, but he's sure that the Tea Party folks are dangerous racists, too.

Isn't it wonderful that a decades old American comic book hero is now being used to turn readers against our very political system, being used to slander folks that are standing up for real American principles in real life -- and one called "Captain America" at that?

In issue number 602 of Captain America, a new story line has begun called "Two Americas." In it the current Captain (there have been a few of them, apparently) is on the trail of a faux Captain America that is mentally deranged and getting chummy with some white supremacist, anti-government, survivalists types going by the name of "the Watchdogs." While investigating this subversive group, Captain America and his partner The Falcon -- a black super hero -- have decided to try and infiltrate the secretive organization.

In preparation for the infiltration, Marvel Comics depicts the two super heroes out of costume and observing from a rooftop a street filled with what can only be described as a Tea Party protest. The scene shows crowds of people in city streets carrying signs that say, "stop the socialists," "tea bag libs before they tea bag you," and "no to new taxes." Naturally, the people in these crowds are depicted as being filled with nothing but white folks...

Great. Thanks Marvel Comics for making the Tea Party groups the next super villain!

Naturally, Marvel Comics doesn’t have the BALLS to denouce black racists, hispanic racists, or muslim terrorists.

I wonder if Captain America was at that NEA meeting last year where the White House discussed coordinating Obama's messages with various artistic outlets.

The Law&Order cop show smeared the Tea Parties in one of their recent episodes, too. It never ceases to amaze me how all the cops in this one NYPD division are all liberals. Only in Hollywood...

The Establishment is very afraid of us.

That’s why I havent bought 1 Marvel comic in 4 years. It was an X-men issue where the Sentinels were blasting NYC and Storm said to another: ‘make sure you save that Prius, it’s good for the environment”. Same with Spiderman.

It’s been DC all the way ever since: Blackest Night, Green Lantern and Batman (Dick Grayson) ever since.

i gave up collecting new stuff back in 2002 or so. i do go to conventions and pick some of the newer stuff up cheap but like you i focus on DC. i used to be a Marvel Man mainly but got tired of the liberal claptrap back then.
sometimes i grab some of the 70s or 80s books on the cheap for my daughter though

Hey Marvel Group! Hope you enjoy the lousy turnout to your next SuperHero movie!

Even if it is Iron Man 2, you screwed up big time on this.

Disney owns Marvel now. I’m telling you, Disney is an enemy of conservatives. It’s hard to escape from them if you have a kid . . . but you should.

Nowadays you can DOWNLOAD the pdf file from the bit torrent networks. I got the entire Blackest Night stories for December so I ddont have to buy everything.

The X-men comics have so many variations (like 10) and it’s a damn rip -off. Who wants to buy 10 different variations in this economy?

That’s why I Download the comics for free nowadays, but I sometimes take the train so I need something to read on the trip.

Captain America hasn’t seen interracial crime statistics.

Short story: Bruce Wayne is “dead”. The new Batman & Robin artist/writer is wicked. My GF digs the Batgirl comics because well, it’s a chick thing.

Funny, in that in the 1950s, Marvel (then known as Atlas Comics) was probably the most anti-commie comic publisher out there. Pretty sick to now find “Captain America” siding with the Marxist/statists. What next, a new storyline in which Cap goes back in time and fights against our Founding Fathers? Wouldn’t surprise me.

So, dissent is patriotic when liberals do it but un-patriotic and treasonous when conservatives do it ... ok, I get it ....
