Two weeks ago, on the 65th anniversary of the horror of the holocaust, a recently discovered set of original blueprints, signed by Himmler himself, was donated to Yad Vashem.
The location of their discovery was kept secret. The only forthcoming information was that they were ‘discovered in a apartment when a renovation was taking place’ in "east Germany.'" The owner's asking price for the blueprints was so high that the Federal Archive refused to purchase them. Bild bought the blueprints instead (here) and made a 'gift ' of them to Israel.

I do know one thing, the article is wrong about the history of the Hotel Adlon. The building shown in the picture as the postwar, East German Hotel Adlon is in fact the post-unification, brand new building Hotel Adlon. I stayed in it when it was less than 6 months old. Spotless, a wonderful place, but not a single brick was from the original Adlon, of which even the small wing operated by the East Germans was completely demolished in 1984.
The Mufti was scum, but those blueprints could have been in the hands of any number of people.
Another thing, you will not likely hear back from Axel Springer as he died in 1985.
He founded the publishing house Axel Springer Verlag, which publishes the Bild Zeitung among other big titles in German media.
People like a nice simple story. Nazis equal evil, no one else. Even in the supposedly accurate depiction of the diary of Anne Frank, they showed legions of Nazis storming the attic when it was, just as it is now, the Dutch police that showed up to betray Anne.
And now those same police act as tour guides in showing the attic where those poor souls survived for 2 years.

The Mufti’s role in the ‘Final Solution’ was covered in a book written by Rabbi David Dalin, called “The Myth of Hitler’s Pope”. It was apparently only after the Mufti’s arrival in Berlin that plans began to emerge for the large scale slaughter of the Jews in Europe.

It’s an interesting story. There are some big holes that need filled, as in, where was it found and by whom? That may answer quite a few questions.
