I would imagine a lot of actors just want to keep working and would prefer not to have to do anything political . . . until their publicist tells them "It would really look good if you . . . ." This, of course, is not one of those cases. Sadly, this is a rather short list.

Duvall yes, Denehey isn't, at all. In fact, Denehey is about as liberal as you can get - think Sean Penn. But, he's a New Yorker, so maybe that's his motivation.
