If you own any shares in alternative energy companies I should start dumping them NOW. The conspiracy behind the Anthropogenic Global Warming myth (aka AGW; aka ManBearPig) has been suddenly, brutally and quite deliciously exposed after a hacker broke into the computers at the University of East Anglias Climate Research Unit (aka Hadley CRU) and released 61 megabites of confidential files onto the internet. (Hat tip: Watts Up With That)
When you read some of those files including 1079 emails and 72 documents you realise just why the boffins at Hadley CRU might have preferred to keep them confidential. As Andrew Bolt puts it, this scandal could well be the greatest in modern science. These alleged emails supposedly exchanged by some of the most prominent scientists pushing AGW theory suggest:
Conspiracy, collusion in exaggerating warming data, possibly illegal destruction of embarrassing information, organised resistance to disclosure, manipulation of data, private admissions of flaws in their public claims and much more.
One of the alleged emails has a gentle gloat over the death in 2004 of John L Daly (one of the first climate change sceptics, founder of the Still Waiting For Greenhouse site), commenting:
In an odd way this is cheering news.
But perhaps the most damaging revelations the scientific equivalent of the Telegraphs MPs expenses scandal are those concerning the way Warmist scientists may variously have manipulated or suppressed evidence in order to support their cause.
Here are a few tasters. (So far, we can only refer to them as alleged emails because though Hadley CRUs director Phil Jones has confirmed the break-in to Ian Wishart at the Briefing Room he has yet to fess up to any specific contents.) But if genuine, they suggest dubious practices such as:

How many of these scientists were involved with the UN IPCC report? Phil Jones and Michael Mann were authors, so they were in on it, I know it runs deeper than that.
What relationship did Al Gore have with these scientists and organizations? I bet a lot of them helped make An Inconvenient Truth.
How many polticians voted for cap n tax based on the IPCC report or data provided by one of these organizations or scientists?
Possibly. But uploading to sites like this is so easy these days that the files should be replicated all over the net and on usenet, probably within hours. But Vuze will work if it's fast enough.
Well, they’ll have to knock me off the internet for me to stop seeding. So you’ll be able to get it from me at least.
As an aside, I’m amazed by how many people in Finland are downloading/seeding the torrent.
Well that's confusing. What do they call megabits then?
Yeah, I posted that on another thread a little bit ago. I also thought it was noteworthy. It is amazingly bad, isn’t it?
Good thing these professional scientists are so, erm, well, professional.
Easy. Megabyts.
But they had to save the planet from something....It’s money.
>I think if the models (in source) are revealed, well find that they are pretty simplistic in what is included and what is excluded....

{PS It might behoove you to brush up on your Prolog.}
I just got it from the piratebay torrent link posted above. It is showing 96 seeds.
It took about 5 minutes to download.
I remember when Gore was really hot on this...and Hillary saying: "This is a way to get young people involved in politics and voting".
We know they are being indoctrinated in school. You older folks: Talk to your children and grandchildren...Tell them about saving piles of newspaper....and selling them to the junk dealers. I remember getting about 20 bucks. Now, we pay to have them cart the stuff away.
Tell them about the milkman...One vehicle delivering to 100's of homes everyday.
Tell them about 1 pair of shoes, 7 pairs of socks, walking to the store or taking the bus.
Tell them to think on their own!!
We use ‘Megabyte’ in the UK. The author just spelled it wrong.

Didn’t see a ping to you on this, more ammo
If anyone needs a quicky program to read the emails (cleaned up), this is a link to a neat, free email reader.
It will read the email section as TXT or you can rename the extentions to EML.

I’ve been seeding all night long.
Cheers
My point.
If you truly believe with religious intensity that lying or data-fudging is needed to Save the World, you’re quite likely to convince yourself it’s justified.
