President Obama Surpasses Bush Administration on Golf Course
A Semi-News/Semi-Satire from AzConservative ^ | 31 October 2009 | John Semmens

Posted on 11/02/2009 1:22:26 PM PST by John Semmens

CBS’ Mark Knoller reports that the Obama Administration is on pace to more than triple the output of rounds of golf played by a president while in office. In his first nine months in office, President Barack Obama has played 24 rounds of golf. It took President Bush 34 months to play as many holes.

The President’s Press Secretary, Robert Gibbs, attributed the feat to “the superior dynamism of an agenda focused on hope and change. The faster pace set by the President is emblematic of the energy he has brought into the White House. It should bolster confidence in his ability to take on the challenges of the job.”

Gibbs contrasted the upbeat message sent by President Obama compared to President Bush at the same point in their respective terms. “When Bush was president nearly 3,000 Americans were killed in a terrorist attack by this point in his reign,” Gibbs said. “Fear and anxiety gripped the nation. Under President Obama, America has been free from attack and the President has won a Nobel Peace Prize. Which America would you rather live in?”

Oh bravo... whew, that puts my mind at ease!! I can sleep at night again. BTW, I won a prize before and it was not based on communist values

Maybe Barack and Kim Jong Il could squeeze in a round together after their chore of remaking the world is overwith? They could try to out-cheat the other.

Despite all that energy, his golf game and his presidency are abysmal.

This is HUGH...but not series...

you really need to put a big SARC warning on this shite...the truth is so much closer to fantasy than to reality...

I’m the last person to defend this man, but didn’t Bush go to the gym every day? So Obama plays golf once a week, rather than go to the gym. Fitness, relaxation, whatever his reason......this just seems like a non-issue in contrast to his real problems as POTUS.

Actually, according to the WH press, our dear leader follows a rigorous program of gym work and basketball. He wastes half a day per week golfing in addition to the hours of exercise, not instead of it.

John, kick ass job! That is some very funny writing and I’m willing to bet that its so close to the truth that 30% of the readers think its real reporting. Bookmarked.

“I’m the last person to defend this man, but didn’t Bush go to the gym every day?”

An hour in the gym is real different for (given how badly he plays) a six hour round of golf...and since the lazy sob uses a cart, it can hardly be called exercise...although, I’m guessing, he probably takes 5 warm ups, then his REAL swing, so that would be 600-700 swings per round...still, not too taxing...as if this Mutt would avoid something because it is too taxing other than this...
