COPENHAGEN – In an attempt to bring home the 2016 Olympics to Chicago, pResident Barack Obama today unveiled his vision of the Games to the International Olympic Committee, complete with recommendations for new Chicago-style competitions he plans to enter.
But events following his pitch indicate the pResident’s meddling has once again caused a direct opposite of his intent.
“The time has come for America to open its arms to the world, after all of the shame it has caused over the past 233 years,” Obama said, tying to use his lagging powers of persuasion to convince the IOC that bad-mouthing America should be enough for members to award the Olympics to Chicago tomorrow over the other finalist cities of Rio de Janeiro, Tokyo, and Madrid. “What better way to renew our global bonds than by hosting the world at the 2016 Olympics in Chicago? Not only that, but I also propose that the IOC see fit to add special events to mark the occasion, including gangland death beatings, shootings near my neighborhood, and our time-honored Chicago specialty, graft.”

He probably just could not bring himself to say enough good things about America. I would think the Chicago murder rate had and effect. I also think the shake down artists for the Olympics may have felt they were being outmatched by the Chicago political shake down machine.

The whole piece is pretty funny, but I really loved this part:

For America to have the summer Olympics three times in 32 years is selfish and aspirational. As BHO said, it’s better for everyone when we spread the wealth around. :-)
I really dont think that those videos of the kids being beaten to death on the streets has done any good to Chicago's dwindling image to the eyes of the IOC either.
But then again supposedly greater minds has fallen under the spell of Obama so he may be able to pull it off especially with all the superstar power he has for his entourage ;_). If he does not then it'll be a HUGE blow to his already overblown EGO, so lets sit tight and see what happens ;_)

More than any other administration, this one is so outrageous that what they actually do exceeds the bounds of imagination.
There have been real stories: the hiring of van jones, an admitted Communist for God’s sake; using ayers, an admitted terrorist as an adviser; and now going to Copenhagen to pitch a city as a venue for the Olympics which is generally more of a hassle than it is worth and is rife with corruption; etc.
Truth is stranger than satire and I blame no one for missing the label.
To be quite frank, I have taken to looking at the keywords for every thread about the TOTUS-reading fuhrer to ensure it isn’t satire.
