I was discussing this with my husband this week. I haven't been able to sleep without having end of the world nightmares for the past six months. I'm grinding my teeth all day and night---never did it before Obama was elected. I am taking sleeping pills to sleep, and on occasion must take anti-depressants. I have had several anxiety attacks in the past six months--never had them before. How much emotional and physical damage does this administration get to heap on the average American citizen before we can join together in a class action against someone? I'm sure there's a law preventing civil suits being brought against anyone in the government, but my health has been damaged by this man, and I am certain there are others out there who are experiencing the same issues. (My husband, for one.)
When are we harmed enough to have standing?
I am not making light of your concerns. I am sorry if it appeared as though I was. I do agree with the other poster who said there has to be more to your anxiety than politics. I do wish you the best. And hope your life improves.
Far, far from a liberal and yes Einstein was far smarter than me when it came to physics. Don’t know if he was smarter than you though. You are brilliant. Didn’t he leave his son and wife for his first cousin? Perhaps he wasn’t that smart or moral when it came to marriage.
Who is Susan from Glendale, your sister? Is she married, if not, is she single?
Then should you be analyzing me and judging me as if you were? Passing observations are one thing, but that's not what you did. You passed judgment on my troubled state of mind as being attributable to something besides Obama. That's not your place, nor are you qualified to make such an observation.
People who had never suffered anxiety prior to 9/11 or other serious, tragic events in their lives began to experience all of these things afterward. I suppose you would say that having nightmares and panic attacks following tragedies surely had to have a deeper, underlying cause than the events in their current life. You know nothing about me. How do you know I'm not a licensed psychiatrist? Or a medical doctor?
It's called empathy. I recommend you get some. It's a good thing.
Ignore DallasSun. Longstanding liberal troll. Never goes so far to get zotted, but loves to stir the pot.
Now.
Dallas, perhaps. But to do nothing is to signify tacet consent. Your post implied that people shouldn’t be upset—it’s just politics as usual. And, I think most people believe it’s gone past that point. Communists in the White House? Look how much has changed since the McCarthy trials, when being red was a ‘bad thing!’ Now it’s acceptable and ‘no big deal.’
We live in a dangerous world, and many of us are dealing with this new world in our own way. I don’t deny that I have had other issues in my life, some that many would consider tragic, but I can honestly say that I have never, ever manifested such concern in my sleep for such a long period of time. In fact, I did a search this morning for the meaning of these end of the world dreams, and I found scores of other people who have been having the same dream in the past six months asking what they mean on various forums out there. So, it isn’t just me.
I understand that anxiety in our lives manifests itself in our sleep, and I’m frustrated and angry that I’m having to live like this because this president frightens me. I’m certain I’m not crazy because I feel this way. Seems like I read recently an open letter to President Obama from a certain respected businessman, Lou Pritchett, who confessed the same thing.
I have a wonderful faith and hope in God and believe in His infinite power to save and heal. But, I will not deny my anger nor my fear for what this administration is doing to the country my parents and grandparents fought for and what I hoped was being left for my children. Nor will I apologize for it.
Thanks Kirkwood. Too late, because I already replied, but it was a rather brilliant piece of literary genius, so I’m glad I went ahead and wrote my response.
Go Susan!

Tell em to enjoy serfdom if ObamaCare passes.
Put your trust in God and not in man.
I listened to that. You CAN sue the Corporation of the United States in District of Columbia court, according to whoever that was.
Certainly, you owe no one an apology for your anxiety. Nor am I minimizing it in any way but re reading my original post to you I can see that it could be misconstued in that way and I do apologize for that. And yes, you should certainly put your faith in God and prayer. I do hope for peace of mind for you. I know how exhausting this kind of anxiety in your sleep can be and I feel terrible for you. Please take care, find peace and have faith. I apologize again for making you feel as though I was trivializing your problem in any way.
Oh Frantzie, I try not to have many deep conversations with them. When I leave I always hope I did not roll my eyes too often.
Although, now that I think about it, I did have a short conversation of personal responsibility and the absence of government in our personal lives, etc., recently. It went over really well. I remember thinking, we will have to do this again real soon.....sigh
Why not pay a visit to your area VA Hospital and ask our Veterans what they think about Government run healthcare? As an active duty & Reserve family for the last 15 plus years, I can tell you some of our experiences...TriCare sucks.
One example is a current one we are dealing with. For the last 12 months, my dh has had unbelievable issues with something upper respiratory. Every month, he’s paid a visit to his doc on base. And every month, he’s been told it’s probably allergies, and to take Sudafed or Flonase. 12 MONTHS. As a pilot, it’s kind of important to be able to clear your ears, etc. when flying.
Finally, after 12 months of this cr@p, dh demanded that more be done. Some tests, perhaps? Antibiotics? Something. Someone up the chain decided maybe he should have a CT scan. After weeks of waiting for approval from TriCare, the scans were done. Dh was told to make an appt. in 3 weeks to go over the scans with the doctor. THREE more weeks.
I guess someone saw dh’s films, b/c he had a frantic message on his voicemail two days ago. They need him to come in asap. Dh went in, and as it turns out, he has a mass in his nasal cavity and a completely messed up septum. Rush, rush, rush...surgery scheduled on base in four weeks.
Government run anything is a bad thing. But it’s still everyone’s right to think this is a big bowl of your favorite ice cream. It’s exactly what commies like Obammie want you to do.
Amen! Stay vigilant and do not let these people redefine (your) âhopeâ
Your point is well taken and my argument has often been the veteran’s care. Our Audie Murphy Hospital here in San Antonio leaves alot to be desired. I agree that government run anything is bad. Especially health care which I consider so private. I have heard doctors here argue for and against it. But every time I think of veteran’s care, I cringe. They deserve so much better.
The midterm elections should be a time to bounce some of these socialist, commies and marxist! The most I can do is a write in protest vote.
