I believe that the reason the sky is always falling, from the liberal perspective, is that they have no spiritual anchor in Christ. The glass is always half empty to them. Conservatives, on the other hand, are mostly upbeat (mostly because of faith in God) and know that hard work can turn most any situation around for the better.
