McChrystal to resign if not given resources for Afghanistan

SNIPPET: "Within 24 hours of the leak of the Afghanistan assessment to The Washington Post, General Stanley McChrystal's team fired its second shot across the bow of the Obama administration. According to McClatchy, military officers close to General McChrystal said he is prepared to resign if he isn't given sufficient resources (read troops) to implement a change in direction in Afghanistan:

Adding to the frustration, according to officials in Kabul and Washington, are White House and Pentagon directives made over the last six weeks that Army Gen. Stanley McChrystal, the top U.S. military commander in Afghanistan, not submit his request for as many as 45,000 additional troops because the administration isn't ready for it.

In the last two weeks, top administration leaders have suggested that more American troops will be sent to Afghanistan, and then called that suggestion "premature." Earlier this month, Adm. Michael Mullen, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said that "time is not on our side"; on Thursday, Secretary of Defense Robert Gates urged the public "to take a deep breath.""

SNIPPET: "Today, the military is perceiving that the administration is punting the question of a troop increase in Afghanistan, and even questioning the commitment to succeed in Afghanistan. The leaking to the assessment and the report that McChrystal would resign if he is not given what is needed to succeed is some very public pushback against the administration's waffling on Afghanistan."

0bama has checkmated himself because he’s used McChrystal as his own General Petraeus.
He drops McChrystal’s name constantly and keeps insisting that he’s waiting for the General’s assessment. He stated this several times over the weekend, even. Now we come to find out that 0bama has had McChrystal’s assessment, and it calls for a massive troop build up.

So lets see now how 0bama conducts HIS war, the one he said we need to fight and win. The one he said was the RIGHT war.

As much as I utterly despise everything about Bambi and his sorry administration, I have not been able to develop any delight over the difficulties in Afghanistan (which is arguably Bambi’s War).

I know too many young men and women who are there, or who are soon to be sent there.

It’s just a sad situation all the way around when a boy like Bambi, surrounded and advised by idiots like Gates, it put in charge of what should be a man’s job.

F* ‘em if they can’t take a joke. Were I there in harm’s way and came upon one of those situations, there’d be no one left alive—probably even me, but I’d take ‘em down with me. If I survived, I’d go to ground. No one man patrols issued for entire teams. Kill ‘em all and let God sort ‘em out cause you gotta sleep some time.

0bama wants to f# us over with a hard on, send those White boys to Tora Bora to be shelled ad nauseum and make sure vets/active duty are 1/2 way around the world rather than here to become DHS ‘extremists’ when TSHTF.

And then, a body might think there’d be parents, spouses and other relatives to answer to.

I highly recommend the book "Lone Survivor" if you have not read it. In it the author, a Navy Seal, describes in deadly detail what the troops in Afghanistan are dealing with.

I have heard Marcus Luttrell tell his story on several radio interviews.

Recently we have heard reports that rules of engagement are restrictive, air cover is rationed, requested reinforcements are being denied.

I posit dba Obama is a Russian-made traitor engineering defeat in Afghanistan and in the wider world.

Today I called our congressman, our senator, Kyl the Minority Whip, Boehner the Minority Leader, McCain who supported the surge, and even waited to get a live "volunteer operator" at the White House Comment Line--

After all, I explained:

--though the President was coy with Stephanopolus saying he wanted to be sure our "strategy was correct"--

--he personally selected McChrystal, and should leave the "stategy" to that professional.

It is readily apparent to all of us that the fool who cancelled the F-22 and killed the missile defense program, kisses Ahmadinejad's and Putin's butts, wants to unilaterally scrap our nuclear arsenal is a subject for a bumper sticker:

A brave move but more generals on the ground need to also resign to send a strong message to this amateur Commander in Chief. We can not allow Obama to put our military in harms way while he votes “present” on life and death issues in favor of a domestic agenda that no one wants.
