Everybody is afraid of catching "swine flu", but some people are more afraid than others. With the headlines filled with warning after warning about the coming pandemic, it doesn't take much to raise a person's fear level. NOTE: The author of this comic requests that you visit his web site and please refrain from copying the cartoon within this thread. Thanks a ton!
Sorry, I'm still waiting to catch the bird flu
Sorry, but it’s already gone through my home and it’s no worse than any other flu as far as I can see.
Every flu episode will now be called swine flu. They said they’ve stopped testing....so...prove it???
My nephew came home from school last Thursday feeling bad and he had a temperature. My sister took him to the walk in, they swabbed him and diagnosed swine flu. He was given Tamiflu, as was the rest of the family, and the Dr. said he’d probably be feeling well enough to go to school on Monday. Sure enough he was back in school on Monday, only missed Friday.
The Dr. told my sister that all the cases their seeing are very mild, much more mild than the regular flu.
Two of my next door neighbors’ five kids had it and didn’t get very sick at all and the rest of them didn’t even get it.
A 10 year old with no health problems was sent home by the school nurse on a Thursday and died in the hospital Friday night. Been other similar cases. Death toll so far is low but this is not the normal flu and concern is warranted. Be interesting when they find out why it hits some healthy people so hard but most shrug it off.
Concern also that H1N1 appears it will be the dominate strain for a while. The lethality could become worse.
Do you have a link on that?

I will guess they were speaking of the Alaskan death. There are more but they are either to young or teens.
