I was so jealous of everybody who attended the Tea Party - what I wouldn't have given to be there!
According to the U.S. census bureau, 131 million voters turned out in 2008.
Today, 2 million people showed up in D.C. - that means that over 1% of the voting population were impassioned enough to go to D.C. Think of the numbers at home, like me, who could not get there.
The dems should be running scared. If that many normal, everday Americans can make a trip to D.C., I'm sure more will make a trip to the polls!!
Reading some of the reports coming from CNN, ABC, etc made me realize just how out of touch the media is with this movement. They really think that the whole "mob" showed up at this rally and refuse to acknowledge that there are millions of more "radicals" who stayed home.
I know I don't post much and nobody knows me on this forum, but I am so excited I can hardly contain myself! Can't wait to vote out the trash, starting in 2010.
Also, thanks to those who are posting pics and YouTubes for those of us who couldn't make it.
Ballgame.
2010!!!!!!!
Welcome to FR.

Nice vanity. From the heart, to the point, and brief. Welcome to FR. I totally agree with you that for every 1 person in DC today there will scores more going to the pols.
This post at DU compares the current US situation to Rwanda (ROTFLMAO) and discusses the coming civil war!
It was a nice event, very nice. It was so wonderful to be with so many freedom loving people educated on the issues. The folks at the 9 12 demonstration were a cross section of America, young and old, children and pets many in wheel chairs or limping on crutches whole families whole communities. Every state was represented. The good nature of these gentle people belies the fire in the belly and the steel will of our founding fathers to do what is necessary to restore our freedoms. This rally marks the beginning of a new political era. No matter where we are or who we are, we will have to fight with all our physical, mental and spiritual strength. There was a sign that resonated with me: The sheep have awakened and are in need of a shepherd. Joe Wilson signs were abundant. Sarah Palin chants were heard. There were signs thanking Glenn Beck. Conservatives and moderates must find leaders we can support and do everything we can to get them elected.
“”and discusses the coming civil war””
Isn’t what their aim is? Everything that’s been done since oBUMa took office has led them in that direction. They aren’t hiding the fact that they want to see a revolution in this country. The only hidden fact is they think they’ll come out on top. These are the people who scoff at the 2nd Amendment and they are going to come out on top?
Same place, same time, double the numbers - next year - right before the elections!
I know many of you couldn’t be here today, but rest assured, you were in our hearts and voices!
I was there. As much as I would have liked the number to be 2 million, it was likely around one hundred thousand in my view. I don’t know where those big numbers are coming from.
Welcome to FR. Kick in and be a donor. Maybe $25, what not. It is easy and it is FUN.
Welcome to FR, FRiend. Nice first post.

Rwanda? There are similarities... a dithering Democrat in office too absorbed in his narcissism to see reality.
These are the people who scoff at the 2nd Amendment and they are going to come out on top?
Dont underestimate them. They are armed. They just think you shouldnt be ...
That thread was a classic! Thanks for posting. What a bunch of cry baby, scaredy pants whiners. After what they dished out for 8 years they call us haters?
They will call out the National Guard, impose martial law and have Waco type events to prove their muscle and to intimidate. They are going for broke and we are all going to be shocked, shocked I tell you when they are met with an equal force of resistance.
Beware the outside forces that would take advantage of the chaos. The cold war is not over in the minds of many in Russia.
Exactly! Their interpretation of the 2nd is similar to their interpretation of the 1st: Free speech for me, but not for thee!
