10. No innovation. As Nobel Prize Laureate Edmund Phelps told Bloomberg News Aug. 2, Im not convinced that theres going to be another wave of innovation in the offing.
9. Speaking of innovation, the US is not getting the clever immigrants it used to. Remember that almost half of Silicon Valley during the tech bubble peak was Asian.
8. China will hold its own but its economy is too small to act as a locomotive for the rest of the world (maybe for Korea).
7. The US only can finance its nearly $2 trillion annual borrowing requirement if banks and households buy Treasury securities rather than riskier corporate securities or mortgages. If the rest of the economy starts competing with the Treasury for capital, interest rates rates will rise immediately and suppress economic activity.

Fishing for hits???
Innovation is by definition unpredictable. The odds are the Google of 2015 is being cooked up over someone's dining room table right now.
The screen that you'll see will look like this below. You apparently don't need to be a registered member of the site to send comments:

From NewsBusters.org, June 9, 2009...
Seven months after Election Day, and the attacks on Sarah Palin keep coming.
On Monday, CBS's David Letterman on the "Late Show" shamelessly went after the Alaska governor and her family during his opening monologue, as well as in his "Top Ten" list.
Top Ten Highlights Of Sarah Palin's Trip To New York
10. Visited New York landmarks she normally only sees from Alaska
9. Laughed at all the crazy-looking foreigners entering the U.N.
8. Made moose jerky on Rachael Ray
7. Keyed Tina Fey's car
6. After a wink and a nod, ended up with a kilo of crack
5. Made coat out of New York City rat pelts
4. Sat in for Kelly Ripa. Regis couldn't tell the difference.
3. Finally met one of those Jewish people Mel Gibson's always talking about
2. Bought makeup from Bloomingdale's to update her "slutty flight attendant" look
1. Especially enjoyed not appearing on Letterman
"One awkward moment for Sarah Palin at the Yankee game, during the seventh inning, her daughter was knocked-up by Alex Rodriguez."
Oops! I ass-u-me-d this was a David Letterman’s Top Ten List you posted.
Sorry.
Not.
Obama isn’t forever. Therefore he can’t be responsible for a recession that lasts forever.
Limited to 300 characters.
I figured you would get around to it sooner or later, we all make mistakes.
Well, you're obviously playing off David Letterman's "Top Ten List" with your "Daves Top 10 Reasons", so you shouldn't be too surprised if someone thinks that's what it is.
It’s harder now that he’s doing the Spengler/David/Dave thing over on his blog.
Only if you choose to excerpt...
I’m fairly certain that FR doesn’t require excerpting your blog.
Nice try.
Why doesn’t your Blog have a prominent link to FR??
Just Asking.......
Dude, it ain’t my blog I just hang out there a lot. I think it’s worth sharing. I post stuff on the forum over there as well from this board.
I have no idea what that means, but I'll bet it makes a lot of sense to some people. :)
The free ride will continue as long as the rest of the world is willing to buy US debt. That is only happening because investors’ faith in other countries is (still) even less than in ours: Europe is a quagmire of statist socialism, China is plagued with corruption and dominated by illiquid PRC ownership, and the Asian tigers are too small to replace the dollar as the world reserve currency.
For the international investor basically everything s*cks; it is just that the US s*cks slightly less. But if the Unicorn Rider keeps dropping nukes on the economy like the stimulus, cap-and-trade, ObamaCare, it will eventually change.
There have been some movement in some parts of Europe away from socialism. Which leader in Europe stated that he was worried that the US had become too socialist?
Oops x 2! When I saw that someone asked if you were "fishing for hits", I assumed that you were 'Dave'.
So, share. The whole story. FR didn’t tell you to excerpt, did they???
We’re trying to raise some bucks to keep this place working and your handlers are trying to generate hits to a blog that doesn’t support FR.
Dude....
That was said right before the dot.com bubble.
He forgot to include a number 11. We are importing the world’s poor, who will continue to be a financial drain on the U.S. economy for at least a couple of generations.
