It would really suck to get halfway through an open heart surgery and have the govt run out of sutures.

What?

Offer people free money and they take it all at once?

Never heard of the like!

So, let me review what I’ve heard on the radio.

When you get to be 65, they drain your blood, pour sand down your throat, and put you through a machine that crushes you into a cube?

The Blue Dog Democrats (self-described as fiscal conservatives, and some are somewhat socially conservative as well) are beginning to jump ship on Obama’s monster health scheme. Let’s give them very possible encouragement. Following is the official list of Blue Dog Democrats. You can type each name into Google and get their phone numbers and addresses. Keep in mind that they rightly make a priority of hearing from people in their own districts. If you have any pretext for using an address in their particular state (e.g. your mama lives in that state) please do so: you’ll get a higher priority response.

Following this list is a sample letter I offer for your consideration.

Now go get ‘em!

My latest sample letter to my Congress-critter

Dear Representative ___________.

Do you really think government “reform” of the healthcare and insurance industry will be fair, cost-effective and healthy ? I don’t.

I see where the “Cash for Clunkers” program was suspended after just 6 (six!) days (days!) because of “unanticipated” demand, “unanticipated” costs and “unanticipated” paperwork. Multiply that by 10,000, and that’s what I think would happen to a government-driven “reform” of healthcare and insurance.

Rep. Pelosi is trying to demonize private insurance companies as “villains,” saying (I quote from the AP story) "Of course they've been IMMORAL ALL ALONG in how they have treated the people that they insure."

You know what? We, the citizens, are grown-ups and we are in a position to judge whether the proffered services are worth the cost. Do our representatives think insurers are ALL immoral? Do they think we, the citizens, are ALL stupid?

Are our government representatives prepared to “save” health insurance the way they government “saved” GM? The way they “saved” passenger rail (Amtrak)?

Rubbish, in my opinion.

I do hope you will stop this dubious and potentially disastrous “reform” before “American Health Care” goes the way of Amtrak --- and “Cash for Clunkers.”

.

I see that (D-CT) US Senator Christopher Dodd has not chosen to go to Canada or the UK for his prostitute cancer operation; he will stay in the US for his surgery.

Dodd plans to spend recovery time at his humble Irish cottage during the Congressional recess.

At age 65 is Dodd actually too old to have this expensive operation?

What is the economic payback for America on a cost/benefit basis at his age?

I say give him cheap painkillers like Chi-Com generic aspirin and send him back to his cottage in Ireland to spend more time with (D-MA) US Senator Edward Kennedy to play sandwich games with their Hugo Chavez blowup doll.

Why should Americans feel any comfort in a Government run health care system?

That's the exact question I asked on a cash for clunkers thread. Heck, if they can't even estimate correctly on such a relatively SMALL scale, they certainly can't do so on something as large as ObamaSCare!

What a surprise.

They ran out of money because any that wasn’t already pocketed by the “deserving” didn’ exist.

They can’t supervise a freakin’ rebate program, but think they want to supervise health care.

We must KILL Obama-Care over the recess. They have given us the time, and with the full bill in our hands, the means, to do so.

We need to hammer every rep and they need to fear for their absolute political lives over this bill.

Here is a link to the full House Democrat Health Care Plan in PDF. In Section 1233 E & F, pages 426-433, you find the part about mandatory end-of-life counseling for anyone over 65 years of age. Section 152 Page 50: All healthcare services will be provided without regard to "personal characteristcs" which is not defined within the document but is understood to include immigration status.

Section 224 b Page 125: The Secretary shall design and implement the payment mechanisms and policies under this section in a manner that — (1) seeks to (B) reduce health disparities (including racial, ethnic and other disparities).

A lot more provisions now being documented at that site.

Donwload it, read it, study it, then hammer your reps over it and pass it on to all you know asking them to do the same.

Also, here's a large image of the Democratic (Obama) Health Plan chart-another Obama empty promise. This is the one the House democrats are censuring. Email these links or the image to everyone you know.

Part of my email from FRC:

“The Democrats who had hoped for a relaxing August away from Washington are in for a rocky road home after last night’s news that abortion coverage has been explicitly included in the House bill. FRC staffers were in the room when Rep. Lois Capps (D-Calif.) introduced an amendment in committee that mandated taxpayer-funded abortion as part of the overhaul. The measure, which was debated during the Energy and Commerce mark-up, passed 30-28.”

Obamacare = kill the unborn; kill the elderly.

My liberal rep is for Obamacare, but says we need to cut costs from it. I called his office and said you can cut costs by not covering abortion.

Of course, I don’t want the bill, anyway.
