Merely four days out of production, the proudly touted government program Cash for Clunkers came to a screeching halt Thursday amid worries of an empty tank.........
Clearly, the lack of planning for a simple three month government program resulting in a temporary shutdown four days in due to depleted funds and red tape, demands the question, Why should Americans feel any comfort in a Government run health care system?
It would really suck to get halfway through an open heart surgery and have the govt run out of sutures.
What?
Offer people free money and they take it all at once?
Never heard of the like!
So, let me review what I’ve heard on the radio.
When you get to be 65, they drain your blood, pour sand down your throat, and put you through a machine that crushes you into a cube?
The Blue Dog Democrats (self-described as fiscal conservatives, and some are somewhat socially conservative as well) are beginning to jump ship on Obamas monster health scheme. Lets give them very possible encouragement. Following is the official list of Blue Dog Democrats. You can type each name into Google and get their phone numbers and addresses. Keep in mind that they rightly make a priority of hearing from people in their own districts. If you have any pretext for using an address in their particular state (e.g. your mama lives in that state) please do so: youll get a higher priority response.
Following this list is a sample letter I offer for your consideration.

Dear Representative ___________.
Do you really think government reform of the healthcare and insurance industry will be fair, cost-effective and healthy ? I dont.
I see where the Cash for Clunkers program was suspended after just 6 (six!) days (days!) because of unanticipated demand, unanticipated costs and unanticipated paperwork. Multiply that by 10,000, and thats what I think would happen to a government-driven reform of healthcare and insurance.
Rep. Pelosi is trying to demonize private insurance companies as villains, saying (I quote from the AP story) "Of course they've been IMMORAL ALL ALONG in how they have treated the people that they insure."
You know what? We, the citizens, are grown-ups and we are in a position to judge whether the proffered services are worth the cost. Do our representatives think insurers are ALL immoral? Do they think we, the citizens, are ALL stupid?
Are our government representatives prepared to save health insurance the way they government saved GM? The way they saved passenger rail (Amtrak)?
Rubbish, in my opinion.
I do hope you will stop this dubious and potentially disastrous reform before American Health Care goes the way of Amtrak --- and Cash for Clunkers.

BLUE DOG IN NAME ONLY
He is a Pelosi Poodle, and will do anything she says to stay in her good books.
Did most of these reps run in conservative districts and portray themselves as such? I’m not familiar with any of them...
Baron Hill mailbox is full as of 1:20pm Friday.
Thank you.
That’s a way bigger list than I thought—thanks for putting it on the thread.
This "cash for clunkers" was so poorly thought out it'll either bankrupt dealerships or place a few billion more on the books for us and our children to pay off..
Don't worry, you will still be able to vote Democrat for many years afterward.

OT. Pinging because it affects us all. Thanks, Mrs. Don-o.
Check out #8 for the official list of Blue Dog Democrats and a sample letter we can 'borrow'.
Thank you I will spread it around.
IMO 10,000 is too low. 1,000,000 is probably closer. People will die from this bill. The very people we should protect are the one who will be denied care, the old, the infirm, the very young.
