Lol. Okay, I like dogs to. I just wish I had bigger property to have a couple of good dogs.
We just recently had to put down our two oldest ones (19 and 17) in the past few months. It's not fun at all, but I just keep reminding myself that they did enjoy long and happy lives... that's the best we can hope for.
We just got a new kitten 2 weeks ago, and he had his first checkup/shots today... all is well with him. He intently watched our 2-year old tuxedo cat bring in a live bird yesterday, so now he's all eager to go out and hunt too... he needs to wait til he's a little bigger first.
I'm so sorry for your loss. As the 'mommy' of two cats, I understand your pain. I would be heartbroken if something happened to one of mine; however, I made up my mind a long time ago that when one of them dies, I'm going to go to animal control and get another kitty who needs a 'mommy' to love them too. A new kitty won't ever take the place of the two I have now, but it will help to fill the void of losing one of them. May God comfort you in your loss!
Both my kitties came to me. Tom came about 14 years ago.
KittySue has had two other humans and now she has me for

I used to not care much for cats but since kitty(her name, I didn’t think she would need any other and that she wouldn’t be around long)came into my life I have now taken in another one, Bobcat:). He is a character and quite young but Kitty shows him who is boss! It is terrible to get old and start caring for things you used to feel nothing for. Maybe God will forgive some of my earlier sins, but then if he doesn’t it won’t matter. Kitty and Bobcat have my heart and I will hate to see them go.

That’s kind of how Tom got his name. KittySue was named
Minzu and the girls who had her before called her mean Sue.
She is, and doesn’t like poor old Tom. But I am being
positive and calling her KittySue in hope that she will
reform and at least not start stuff with Tom. Oh, she is
very beautiful, black and white tux with the longest white
whiskers I’ve ever seen on a cat.
