“The resolution ‘claims sovereignty for the state under the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States over all powers not otherwise enumerated and granted to the federal government by the Constitution of the United States.’”

No need to split hairs here, but if the states are indeed sovereign, they don’t need to invoke the 10th amendment to prove it. They can come out and say it, like our forefathers came out to Great Britain.

HaHa, TAKE THAT LIBERAL BASTARDS. Also on July 26th, Sarah will be attending a picnic in Fairbanks, they are expecting more then 5,000 to attend, and oh yeah, the flood of national media too, but but, I thought she has no political future and is just a joke, how come the national press has to fly to Alaska to attend a picnic.

Just a reminder to Obama and the “cut and run” Democrats that they didn’t win the election fairly.

....House Joint Resolution 27 (HJR27), sponsored by State Rep. Mike Kelly. The resolution “claims sovereignty for the state under the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States over all powers not otherwise enumerated and granted to the federal government by the Constitution of the United States.”

Can someone please explain WHY states need to pass resolutions for amendments ALREADY IN THE CONSTITUTION?

For cryin' out loud, folks! It's IN the constitution! What am I missing?

I can't wait until my state of North Carolina passes something like this. Oh, wait. We're ruled by Democrats. They're in on the looting. Never mind.

Alaska joins Tennessee as the second to have such a resolution signed by the Governor.

Good Job Sarah! And good job, Governor Bredeson of Tennessee. He's a "D" but he is decidedly much better than the vast majority in his party. He actually has been a pretty good governor.
