More teeth for the state sovereignty movement. Will they beg the black-robed "gods" of the courts to approve of their rights? I hope not!

Need to get someone in Idaho on this me thinks, unless someone is already on it, and I think I know just the Senator for the job.

Good. Now go for the same language concerning micro-breweries and wineries and distillers who also produce only in state and sell only in state.
The feds have their sticky fingers in these pots, too.

Frankly, since the states are semi-sovereign nations, can’t FL import steel from VA to make guns without it being “interstate commerce” and involving the Feds?

"manufactured in state"I would guess this is an attempt to steer clear of the commerce clause, but my guess is that it won't work; federal preemption will find a way.

Socialists Obama, most of Congress, and Sotomayor won’t like this. Tough.
The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. Period.

These bills need to mention every major national gun control act and decision or they’re otherwise meaningless. I mean, if a state pretty much spits in the eye of the FED, what use is it if you can’t manufacture fully automatic firearms?

Uh oh, looks like that queer Crist is going to have to step out of the tanning booth and take a side on this one.
This should be good.

Charlie Crist would surely veto it, as it would certainly make liberals and moderates upset.

I don’t care for the language that seems to indicate congress could, if it chose, regulate intrastate commerce. Am I reading this wrong? Seems to me this one is just begging congress to pass such a law and they would run away with their tails between their legs.

These acts actually are a lot more substantive, though more narrow, than the “Sovereignty Resolutions”.
They target a specific set of laws and rights,
and essentially nullify federal regulations.
