Far and away, Ben.

He was a merry tricky fellow.

Franklin. Anybody whose face ended up painted at the bottom of chamber pots in France because of the number of French fellers whose ladies he...uh...well, anyway, Franklin.

Thanks for pinging the list and voting, AZ.44 MAG. Washington was my favorite too, but it’s hard to choose.

They were all great men. I’m in awe of the humility Washington showed by stepping down when he probably could have been president for life.

That was probably the most important thing he did for us in a very long list of impressive accomplishments.

James Madison or George Mason.

And it's hard not to like Sam Adams and Patrick Henry

Yeah, keeping the Continental Army together and winning against overwhelming odds makes Washington my favorite among the things you mentioned as well.

I would name Benjamin Franklin, as the most pragmatic of the Framers, a quality of mind that is very important in American history. But I also name Thomas Paine as the one who accomplished the most, with the least amount of recognition.

Well maybe if income tax rates were lower, they’d be able spend more time with their kids.
