If I see them at it someone will be visiting a proctologist to get their GPS back!
A "Census Worker" was just by here today as I was backing my truck out of the driveway. I stopped my truck in the street and confronted the dweeb. He asked me to confirm the address (WTF?) and if it was a single-family dwelling. He then fiddled with what appeared to be a PDA-type gizmo. All I know is, he never got closer than 100 ft. to my front door.
Come census time, I’ll simply say, “One person lives here. You got what the Constitution authorizes. Now piss off.”

Obama Says A Baby Is A Punishment
Obama: If they make a mistake, I dont want them punished with a baby.
5 billion......staggers the imagination. That would buy quite a few uniforms and AK-47s.
It’s all about intimidation. This admin will work like the mafia. They want to be able to keep close tabs on their “clients.”
Who would you rather come around your neighborhood? ACORN or a FReeper? If we take the jobs they can't.
This happened before I had read the Acorn/GPS/Frontdoor story. So, unfortunately I answered him. I would not doubt that he had a GPS in his pocket that recorded my "lat/lon" as we spoke.
My advice to anyone is to ask the Census Taker; "Have you ever or are you now affiliated in any way with an organization known as ACORN"
Demand to examine their credentials from the Commerce Dept. authorizing them....and then be as sparing in your answers as fits your mood or political leanings.
If he/she/it admits to ACORN affiliation, I would, politely, but firmly, order him/her/it off my property. They are under indictment in several states - and are a criminal organization. You are within your rights to distrust their motives.
Actually, I saw someone who fits the profile walking along the other day with a clipboard. He looked at me. I was expecting him to come selling something, but he didn’t. Someone in his twenties. There was a truck or van or something at an intersection nearby. I didn’t think anything of it much at the time except that it was odd, as it was in the mid-afternoon and he didn’t stop at anyone’s house that I saw, but I only saw about 10-15 seconds of this. I just happened to be home. Some dogs started barking, so I went to see what was going on.
We had a census worker knock on our door yesterday. We were only asked one question: are there any other Buildings on the property? (not how many people or any other type of census question). Coincidentially, were in the middle of constructing a garden shed out back, so hubby joked, we’re putting up a shed, we may have to move family in it if the economy gets worse. To which the census worker replied, ‘you have to have faith in OBAMA’ - as she scuttled down the driveway.
Two things bothered us: 1) I was not aware that census workers were allowed to campaign. And 2) it seemed a waste of taxpayer money to hire someone to go door-to-door to hand out a leaflet for the 2010 census in April 2009.
the leaflet we were given was US Census Bureau D-31 (10-0-2008) Census 2010.
If the purpose of the ‘visit’ was to gps front doors, well, it seems they are curious about garden sheds too. What bothered me the most tho, was the campaigning under the flag of the Census Department.
Orwellian, to say the least
I'm a little confused why this is necessary. Of course I worked for several giant corporations during my career, and there is no cure for the "re-inventing the wheel" syndrome.
Some things to consider. Plans for the GPS mapping were in place pre-obama. Mapping is just that, insuring that all homes will receive a census form in 2010 and providing a location for follow -up for those who do not return the form. The count is to provide for accurate representation of citizens. You can be sure that Acorn and other libs will be represented and for the conspiracy theorists who wish not to respond, you will forfeit your chance for your opinion to count in the electoral process. Of a group I’m acquainted with doing this work, 22 members, 18 are Repubs/conservatives, all are property owners, none care for Obama and want him gone. The process is simply matching addresses, which are public record, with a precise physical location. Nothing furtive. If you think no one knows where you are (or rather where your house is), punch your address into Google and look at the satellite views. You can count the blades of grass in your yard. As for Acorn, they are providing bodies just as they do for all community events and we can hope that Mr Holder will be diligent in pursuing the cases against them. As for Obama, we can hope his birth certificate will end his reign early, or that we can limit the damage he does during his four year tenure. It surely won’t stretch beyond that.
A strategy I’ve been thinking of is to file a lawsuit when the count is over, swearing no one counted you, even if they did. If there was enough lawsuit confusion over it, it would lose credibility.
Lord help us all.
I think we see the Mark of the Beast.....
If the idiot can use Google Maps, he already has the latitude and longitude of each house.
Doesn’t 911 provide a physical address of every home in America?........ I saw one of the workers out a few days ago walking the streets but wasn’t sure what the purpose was. I even stopped and spoke with her for a moment. Her care had a sticker in the back window maybe 9 x 12 inches noting it was a census worker’s vehicle.
Acorn- can’t live with ‘em, can’t shoot ‘em!
