My friend Yael from Boker Tov Boulder sent me this story which was not as shocking as is horrifying. This report indicates the United States Government was spying on the peaceful tax day Tea Party Demonstrations:
....unsuspecting Tax Day TEA Party participants were being closely watched during the demonstration planning stages in a covert operation that began on or about March 23, 2009.
... Media cameras, however, were not the only cameras taking video at these events, something that has at least one current FBI agent concerned over the future of America. According to this agent.... covert surveillance was planned and performed at each of the TEA parties that took place last Tuesday

No matter who’s in the White House, the FBI is likely to be checking on political groups.
Yeah, they always catch me with my eyes squinted or my mouth hanging open.
I don’t think you’d just stand there like a bump on a log.
I shouted out some, just not as much as others. I did wave my flag though. HAHAHA.
Everyone was invited.

The implications to the citizens of the U.S. are ominous. It seems that there is a hostile political agenda coming from Washington that characterizes the supporters of our constitutional freedoms as threats to our domestic security, which is totally absurd. The redirection, the refocusing of domestic threats from al Qaeda cells to flag waving right-wingers is something that has gone from a murmur a few years ago to a roar today.
Training government-issued cameras on ordinary citizens, many of whom brought their children to an estimated 600 Tax Day TEA Parties is a page torn out of George Orwells 1984 and makes the term God Bless America more meaningful than ever.
The Northeast Intelligence Network and Canada Free Press expect the governments denial of the surveillance of the TEA Parties to go viral as soon as this story is posted.

Consdiering the numbers of guns I bought this past year and the websites I visit I can bet I am on a few watch lists.
Oh my. Good for you. I can understand why it MAY be important to see if a group is dangerous, but shouldn’t they stop at some point? We’ve fallen so far I don’t know if it is possible to stop the descent into a police state. A little here, a little there...
Well, I was just trying to point out, that actually, this thing about the FBI looking in on these things and taking names and stuff.... it’s been going on for over 40 years that I know of.... LOL...
We didn’t “sink into this” just yesterday, ya know...
And that thing about me getting an FBI file and the call to Washington DC, that’s true... someone was awfully mad at me and they were going to do it...
So, I probably do have that FBI file around there somewhere...
“No matter whos in the White House, the FBI is likely to be checking on political groups.”
Yeah I remember a couple of agents coming into this little coffee house that was popular ‘back in the day.’
One of them made some snide comment about how things were going to ‘change’ now that Nixon was in the white house!
I didn’t really care too much about politics at that young age I was just there for the girls, the coffee, and a good game of chess!
Did I mention the girls?
Anyway, that’s my story and I’m sticking to it!

You’ll probably get a lot of flak, but I agree with you completely.
I spent more than 20 years as a reporter, and at major political gatherings of WHATEVER purpose, there were always government law enforcement people (Secret Service, FBI, Homeland Security, etc.) milling about. And, as you say, they were pretty much normal folks. Our fairly sleepy town has an FBI office with ONE agent. He turns up at most everything. It’s his job, and it gives him something to do. He’s a Vietnam vet and a helluva lot of fun to talk to, furthest thing from a socialist operative there could be.
That said, I don’t live in an Obama-centric part of the country. Others’ mileage may vary.
I saw a uniformed Washington State Patrol officer on top the Temple of Justice during the tea rally at the state capitol in Olympia. He walked near the edge and bent down. My companions didn't see him and I didn't get my camera up in time to snap him. It only lasted a few moments and we didn't see any others. But everyone in my group said, "Oh, just a sniper."
Isn't being an Enemy of the State fun??
NavyCanDo I am so glad you saw the guy, too!! I hope it's ok with you that I copied your WSP photos. [Just to show people when they make light of the surveillance, not for resale or posting on my blog.]
Who would have thought... just speechless all of a sudden...
Don’t be so down. The original revolution started with a minority too. Also remember the military will not be with them. Think Pinochet.
The FBI had a mission to monitor suspicious muslim activity until January 2009. After inauguration, the FBI received new orders that white US citizens with Judeo-Christian values are their new targets.
I wish I was being sarcastic, but the democrat-controlled government has taken a very hostile attitude toward America's civilian population and it is disturbing.
It sounds like they are trying to dissuade us from doing it again. They want us looking over our shoulders. The best thing to do is just ignore the threat of surveillance and continue to move forward toward even more meaningful gatherings.
