New Freeper met Jim Robinson today - standing up for Americans at the capitol, fighting to not give our country to socialist Obama.
This picture was taken outside of a Senate office building, adjacent to the Capitol. There were a group of seven or eight protesters and they had an unused sign. So, I figured I would grab one and heckle a politician or two. It was pretty fun. Now here's the strange part. As I was about to leave, I told them I was from Montana and told 'em to "keep swingin'." The lady taking this picture asked what part of Montana and what I did, and it turns out she reads The Daily Soap Box! She saw a link to it off of a Branson (MO) community page (and how it got there I'll never know) and has been reading it ever since. I thought she was probably off her rocker, until she knew my brother's page and knew he was a pastor, too. Weird. Really weird.
This guy is James C. Robinson, founder and president of http://www.freerepublic.com/, which just happens to be one of my favorite places to check out the news everyday, right after FOX.com and right before Drudge Report. He encouraged me to post the Soap Box on there. Nice guy. As I was speaking to James, some lawmakers came by as the protesters shouted "please don't pass this bill, it's communism" or some similar phrase. At which point, the Democrats stopped to ridicule the protestors and told them it was "a great bill" and said "communism is better than a failed economy" and then laughed at the protestors as they waddled off. God help us.
Also adjacent to the Capitol is the United Methodist Church headquarters. This is probably going to be a post all in itself one day. This is the marquee in front of their lobbying center. Instead of "hey ya'll, stop killing babies" or "maybe we shouldn't be marrying dudes" they put this junk up. This says a lot about the United Methodist Church and their watered-down social gospel. What's the message here, anyway? If we want closed borders and enforcement of immigration law then God doesn't love them? If only we ignorant evangelicals could reach the higher theological plain of grace and love of the Methodists! One day I hope to be so enlightened.
I stopped by the White House to pray for President Obama. I found the front of the White House to be oddly quiet - no protesters except for a group of Arabs proclaiming that the word "terror" is an unfair label on the "freedom-fighters."
Horrible picture, but my camera was freaking out. This is the Supreme Court building. I stopped by here to pray for this epicenter of power and the people who serve as justices. I prayed for the over-turning of Roe V. Wade. At the top of the building you can't see the words inscribed "Equal Justice Under the Law." Unless you are unborn, that is. And then you haven't the slightest right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
Ahhh, the Capitol Building. I thought about maybe getting into the chamber to hear some debate, but it was to no avail. Instead, I prayed on the steps. I was emotionally shaken, believing that when Christ returns, neither that building nor the other relics of human power will be left with a single brick upon another. All Earthly rule will come to an end and submit to Jerusalem's throne. Until then, I prayed that this building and those resting within it will rule justly, honorably, and fear the Lord.
Welcome to FR. Thanks for standing with the FReepers today too. Amazing those dems admitted they are leading us to communism. They try to hide it usually.
Welcome Pastor.
God bless you, and may He have mercy on America.
VERY nice to have you aboard, Pastor Jordan!
Welcome to FR. Thank you for the report.
Welcome, new FReeper! Many of us wish we could have been there, too. Great photos.
Welcome to FR, Pastor! Yes, I would say Jim is a keeper. :) It’s frustrating that there are so many in this country who have been educated on revisionist history and who read no further than the NYT headlines.
I second your prayer Pator Jordan.
In Jesus’ Holy Name.
Amen.

As a former resident of Coeur d’Alene, ID, and lover of Montana, I have to say that I’m more than a little jealous that you’re there and I’m not! :-)
It was so nice to meet you today! The Lord DOES bring His people together in the strangest places doesn’t He? ;-)
And while I may LOOK like I’m off my rocker ... and even SOUND like I’m off my rocker at times ... I’m generally pretty sane... laugh...
Thanks for standing with us today!
I linked to your page too Cindy. You’ve got some good resources there. Thanks.
Thanks Eternal Vigilance — always a work in progress — like life.

I hear ya. All these years I’ve avoided the blogging thing. But, I’ve decided to give it a shot.
Smiling at you...I’m still avoiding it or I would never get any sleep, however, I do link to interesting blogs.
Welcome Pastor Jordan. You just graduated from lurker to right wing nut!
I would recommend linking to Dr. Keyes’ LoyaltoLiberty.com blog. He’s spending quite a bit of time writing, and it’s all very timely and worthwhile stuff.
