I took this pic today on an NYC subway. Now, I am FINE with advertisements, religion, etc... This just struck me as a tad overdone. I hope you can make out some of the words: Jesus, Paradise, Misunderstood, 1,500,000,000 followers, Peace or Terrorism. And my personal favorite: Chauvinistic VS Chivalry.
i also like the "No Priests" part. that is a slap in the face.
And let’s not forget that cultural pinnacle - female circumcision.
Well, Islam IS a question and it most certainly is not an answer.
That ad was on alot of buses down in south florida....some people called radio stations to complain....
In the reflection it kind of looks like someone wearing a burka.
Apropos.
really? interesting. i didn’t see anyone noticing it up here, of course. upper west side loonies!
It’s public property. I guess there is nothing wrong with it, as long as they charged the same thing that they charge everyone else who wants to place an ad.
I thought if you questioned Islam they killed you.
In NYC? Just look south, the view is more open than before.
Piss stained and feces encrusted sheets for robes......
1000 new and unique ways to kill infidels......way more actually, very good at creative ways of murdering.....
How is this a violation of the First Amendment? Do you even know what the First Amendment is?
Off topic, but I can see why you ride the subway. That way you don't have to see where you live. Wifey has gotten into watching "Cash Cab", and I end up paying no attention to anything other than looking at that sh*thole as the cab passes by.
....Trash and general scuz everywhere....you can almost smell it.
I was born there many moons ago, but thanks be to my parents for moving west when I was still an infant.
"The city that never sleeps -- but never spends a minute of those waking hours cleaning up a bit".
/rant off.....
Yes. Read my post 28.
"jeez, ya know for the city that never sleeps there sure are a lot of people passed out on the sidewalk."
Did you make note of who paid for the ad? That would have been interesting.
Clearly you don’t even know what the First Amendment states, since you can’t explain how it could possibly apply.
Here. Read this. I hate to see uneducated FReepers.
“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. “
Wow ...what a great advertising strategy...offend 49% of your potential customers.(Well...more like maybe 20% in Manhattan)
