The Spoiled Brat-in-Chief (And His Media Creators) [Thank You, McCain/RINOs]
North Star Writers Group ^ | 2009-01-28 | David Karki

Posted on 01/28/2009 12:47:02 PM PST by rabscuttle385

He's only been in office for three days, and President Obama is already behaving like Veruca Salt in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. About all that's left is for him to sing “Don't Care How, I Want It Now” and then plummet down the bad egg chute to the furnace.

He apparently thinks that both Republicans and the media should both unquestioningly bend over and kiss his behind, unaware that the latter already has been doing so for over two years.

As the cameraman in the first quote shows, a good many of the mainstream media still have their lips permanently locked on Obama's posterior. And in so doing, they have created an overindulged spoiled brat who, it would seem, has started believing his own hype.

. . . . .

As for the second item, since when was there any difference between Obama and John McCain? That the RINO from Arizona chanced into the GOP nomination thanks to New Hampshire liberals crossover voting in an open primary and the media seizing on that plurality win to shove him down our throat in no way means that voters had a real choice between tax cuts and redistributive checks. Sen. McCain's shilling for Obama now that he's in office is more proof that the election was largely a sham.

The Republican reaction to this sort of thing – and surely there is much more of it to come – will tell us whether they have anything left inside that might resurrect a party on life support.

Will they find their long-lost spine, guts and testicles? Will they firmly and maturely oppose this massive bailout from government that will dwarf what Detroit or Wall Street received? And, in so doing, provide a contrast between responsible, adult leadership and infantile petulance? Or will they meekly join the left in its lemming-like rush off the cliff?

It's ironic – the GOP has the same problem fighting the Democrats as the Democrats do fighting radical Muslim terrorists: They can't get it through their thick skulls that when you insist on playing by the rules against an opponent that purposely ignores the rules, you are almost certain to lose.

While the arena is different, the principle is the same: You have to treat this as a war, not as a polite difference of opinion. If the GOP isn't as determined to substantively defeat the Democrats as the Democrats are to defeat them, it's all academic. Just as Miranda warnings and the Exclusionary Rule mean nothing to psychos who fly planes full of people into buildings full of people.

And in both cases, our nation as we have known it hangs in the balance.

"There would be no need for 3rd parties if the Repubs would take responsibility for their own mess instead of blaming people of good conscience who won’t support their socialist leanings...like you just did."

I second that high-five!

One major problem with the Republican Party is that it's too focused on compromise and moderation. Republicans give an inch, and the Marxist-overrun Democrat Party takes that inch and adds another one. However, there is a point where you must put your foot down, draw a line in the sand...and say, "Enough is enough! I am holding firm to what I believe, and I shall compromise no further."

The Republican leadership has thoroughly compromised itself at this point with its attitude of ingratiation towards the Democrats. They have chosen the "pragmatic" way out, a way that involves saving themselves and screwing their constituency.

As for the rest of my comments, I would only echo AuntB here, and there is no need for redundancy.

John McCain could change his position on every stance he has taken in the past, and I would still not support him.

Oh wait... he has, and I don't.

As for our immigration policies, I don't think it's too much to ask for our federal government and in particular our president to abide by the law, and most importantly the Constitution of the United States.

That is all I have ever asked, and it's all any of the other folks who don't like the illegal immigration situation have asked.

Speaking for all of us, I'm damned tired of folks labeling me a fanatic or some such for advocating for the rule of law and an adherence to the Constitution of the United States.

BTW - Each and every one of these major MSD (McCain Derangement Syndrome) devotees on FR are also prominent members of “no extreme is extreme enough when it comes to mexicans” crowd. They control every immigration thread with an iron fist and crush anyone who deviates from the most extreme wishes of their devotees.

You do realize Mexicans only make up about two thirds of the illegal immigrants don't you. Well, I have the same policy for those who are not Mexican, and are here illegaly.

Then you own this train wreck too. You voted for an ACLU supporting tool that loves Obama, hates GW and is a surrender monkey to terrorists.

You missed the point, not hard since you overlooked Barr's fine qualities above, by throwing your vote away on a losing pony, or in your case a losing nutcase pony.

You did nothing to stop Obama even though McCain still would not have garnished enough votes with all the third party and green voters. You voted for someone you knew COULD NOT WIN, thus you were okay with having Obama. McCain had a chance of winning. Barr had none.

Who locked you in a room and stuffed all this propaganda in your head?

A person's vote is exactly that their vote, not yours and not the property of the Republican Party -- especially if the Republican Party wants to sell out to socialism. None of us owe them a rat's behind if they want to be traitors to their platform -- and make no mistake, they were traitors with this election!

McCain was a sell-out, and if our country is going to be sold out on everything it is supposed to stand for, better it be by a Democrat than a Republican.

I often think that I have more respect for the Republican Party than the Party itself does -- else they wouldn't have shoved McCain down our throats!

I voted for Sarah Palin. But YOU, you have been such a “Party over Principle” nutcase in every identity you’ve had on FR. Thus, largely, this is YOUR train wreck, which has been building for years, ever since Newt abandoned the Contract with America. And YOU gave Newtie a pass on that and have been kissing Pubbie butts ever since that I have seen. “Principle???” Not for you. It’s that magical (R) talisman that will make the Koolaid go down so sweet.

people of good conscience who won’t support their socialist leanings

Well then, you people took yourselves out of the GOP equation and, thus, the discussion.

So, button it, please.

Let the brave men and women who stayed in the party in order to fix it get about the task of doing so.

Your rants are neither useful nor wanted.

If the GOP provides no anchor in the right the left drifts ever leftward for no other reason than they can. To make matters worse, the GOP isn’t even trying to anchor themselves. Instead they’re simply following like cowering dogs hoping for crumbs from the democrats.

You really are Cedric the Entertainer, aren't you? AuntB? AuntB is more Republican than you are!

Just how many more people do you think you can eject from the tent and still have a chance to win with any candidate in 2012? Oh right, doesn't matter -- only that your "club" stays "your club".

Still taking names of "Traitors to McCain", Cedric?

Hey there, stud muffin, settle down. This site is a CONSERVATIVE site, not a Pubbie site. And you and yours have been doing a pretty piss poor job of “fixing” your party. My personal suspicion is that it’s exactly the way you want it... and conservatives, republican or otherwise, are just not wanted anymore... Looking back as far as Taft/Goldwater/Reagan, I suspect we never WERE welcome there. So just back off AuntB and the rest of us, shut your piehole and crawl back under your rock with the rest of the RINO slime.

“nutcase”?

This from a freeper THAT BRAGGED ON HIS FR HOMEPAGE someone called the FBI on him for making an alleged terrorist threat. Okay, padded room fella. No one with any sensibilities would have posted something like that on their FR page. But you did.

Secondly, I have had two identities and am ope not telling anyone what I first one was and I have never hid that fact. Never been banned in three years with 6000 posts and almost 170 threads.

Thirdly, a little research on your part would have shown I hammer Newt here. Always have. So Mr. brag about your alleged terrorist threat you are wrong. Just like you were wrong to push a surrender monkey like Ron Paul.

Thank you, Aunt B.

I will not apologize for my decision to vote 3rd party this year.

Nor will I.

I didn't (de facto) vote for Barack Obama and I didn't vote for John McCain. Live with it, Cedric.

Wait a second. I've heard this line before from some rabid McCainiac during the election cycle.

“”Well then, you people took yourselves out of the GOP equation and, thus, the discussion. “

Isn’t that special? If you don’t drink the GOP Kool aid,you can’t be in ‘the discussion’.......

Heil, Cedric!

For your information, not that it’s ANY of your business, I voted McCain/Palin, and I’m not one bit proud of it. I’m sick of being one of the pragmatic, follow the GOP to hell crowd. You ask too much when you demand people sell out to the RINOs...You go right ahead, free country and all...whether you like it or not.

“So make no mistake, their venom at McCain is 95% derived from his position on immigration. I would bet money that if tomorrow McCain became an immigration hawk but didn’t change his position on any other issue, he would be their new found savior.”

LOL!! But then you’d have to hate him, BobJ.. C’mon, just say it...MEXICO SUCKS!

Go back and read my posts. Never been a rabid supporter of McCain. I have always said going back several years, McCain was not my choice. I do remember you though pushing the surrender monkey Ron Paul. You were out front waving your girly pom poms with knee pads on and all, fainting whenever Paul made an appearance.

Going back several years? You mean, before your sign-up date of November 23, 2008?
