WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) -- President Barack Obama encountered lingering skepticism from Republicans on Tuesday during Capitol Hill meetings aimed at building support for his $825 billion stimulus plan, but he urged members of the GOP to put politics aside and act quickly to bolster the economy."
CONSERVATIVES need to "urge members of the GOP" to get a set and dont let this guy push you into submission by telling you that placating their prodigality and profusion is akin to putting politics aside.
The only thing Obama, Pelosi & Reed want you to put aside is your integrity and your obligation to the sound financial principles your constituents elected you to promulgate.
Listen to them and you, like Lindsey Graham and nine other Republicans will be expunged like a typing error when your next primary comes around.
The GOP needs an enema. Get involved and sign the petition committing to the replacement of neutered Republicans like Lindsey Graham from the GOP at http://www.GOPenema.com
One such replacement conservatives might consider is Theodore Nugent from Texas. If you agree, get involved and sign the petition by clicking the link above.
(GET INVOLVED! Petition at bottom of column
Compromise means both sides. The only calls for compromise are from the communists in the White House and comrades Pelosi and Reid. Not much to say about that but “Nuts!”
Obama doesn’t need Republicans to compromise. He can pass whatever he wants.
RINOs wouldn’t be compromising, anyway. Just pass whatever and quit paying lipservice to bipartisanship.
Since when is compromise one sided?? Something ain’t right with Obama’s brain.
If the GOP is going to compromise with a socialistic president, why do you need the GOP? I’ve never been a supporter of a third party, but I’m beginning to change my mind. If the GOP doesn’t wake up soon, it will soon be extinct.
NB: "My" was capitalized on purpose!
He only calls for a compromise when things aren’t going his way. Otherwise, his smart-alecky arrogant come-back is “I won.”
Can’t have it both ways there.
I told you guys, Obama’s version of compromise means “You do what I want”.
Um...it's already fossilizing.
Yup and ironically, is supposed to be selecting a Chair tomorrow—that will tell us volumes whether we have a party or not.

Fifty-eight percent (58%) of U.S. voters say more tax cuts will better stimulate the economy than new government spending, even as Congress considers a second stimulus plan that could cost as much as $300 billion.
Only 32% think the government should pass another economic stimulus package, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey. Forty-three percent (43%) disagree, and 24% are undecided (see crosstabs).
Like Rush said, he needs GOP votes for the (non) “stimulus” bill in order to keep Democrats in office 2 years from now, unlike Clinton who decided to go it alone when he was first elected.
Fifty-nine percent (59%) of U.S. voters worry that Congress and President Obama will increase government spending too much in the next year or two, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey.
Only 17% have the opposite concern and are more worried that Congress and the president will cut taxes too much.
Sixty-three percent (63%) of voters expect government spending to go up under the Obama administration, while just 13% think it will go down. Fifteen percent (15%) say government spending will stay about the same, and nine percent (9%) are not sure.
Exactly: Mike Pence had it right “Congressional Democrats are not heeding The President’s advice on Bi-Partisanship”.
So, if he can’t get the rinos to cover, I don’t know why
Obama is being delicate after the ‘I won’. Why not just
come on out and say like it or not, here’s where we’re
going and what will happen. End of discussion.
This is what his real style seems to be with us infidels.
