I heard on the news yesterday that the porn industry led by Larry Flint is seeking a “bailout” because free porn on the Internet is undermining their revenue. My initial reaction is that this is just Flint using his own absurdity to expose the absurdity of the bailout. That seems obvious but the sad thing is that I wouldn’t put it past this group in government to give them the money.
This is all a sign of the times. I can see posterity talking about our hedonism the way our current study of history points to that which precipitated the fall of Rome. It is sad to say - but even at this point most Americans STILL DON'T get it. We are shaking our fists blaming everybody but ourselves for the debacle in which we find ourselves. To be sure, Government and Wall have done wrong; however, the blind cannot see that they are nothing but a SAMPLE taken from a base, morally bankrupt society. Expect good government? This is one industry that the government really should pump some cash into. It would be arousing success.
