Leo Denofrio notes that the Court today issued a Miscellaneous Order granting certiorari on at least two cases: Al-Marri v. Pucciarelli and Gross v. FBL Financial Services, Inc. He thinks this is a bad sign, but notes that the full list will be out on Monday.

IMO the SCOTUS is not going to release any paper work on ANY part of this issue until they have heard and researched all aspects of all cases.....

They want to get it right. It will be used as much as precedence as the Very Constitution is quoted.....It is a historical finding, that must be done correctly.....after much thought and research....

I was telling my wife to expect the same thing, and for the same reasons today.

I would hope the SC deliberates long and hard about this, although I realize that they're not quite at the step of defining Natural Born Citizen yet.

No decision of which anyone’s yet aware .. possibly something from the SCOTUS will come down Monday, or possibly they’ll say nothing.

Leo D. thinks it could possibly be denied with an opinion if it is denied, or that something else could be coming out in time.

He’s hopeful that they’ll address the issue in some way.

I know as well as you that O is NOT QUALIFIED due to residency requirements, among other things, to be POTUS. That means NOTHING. Mainstream America doesn’t care! I have stopped listening to most talk radio because almost no Republican and/or Conservative is commenting on this at all. Then many of the ones that do talk about this usually run down all of us Conservatives who still believe in the Constitution for pursuing this issue, even though we have very valid evidence that make Obama's place of birth and even citizenship questionable.

I have lost total respect for every Republican\Conservative politician, commentator, and activist that are either afraid to bring up this issue or who pretend that it's nothing important. We aren't asking for a lot, just for Obama to show us he's eligible to be President. It is something that he could easily clear up, but refuses. If Obama is shown to have been born in the U.S. and is eligible for the Presidency then I will stop with this. But in my opinion he will be an illegitimate President just for not showing us either way.

It's ridiculous that so many higher level Conservatives\Republicans haven't addressed this issue at all unless it's to bash the people who do speak out on it. Unfortunately there are many people on FR who follow the leads of the more prominent politicians and commentators and say this isn't an issue and run down those who think it is.

I agree it will go nowhere. But it is certainly not a waste of time. This involves precedent not just for this issue either. Also ... you don't "know" whether he is qualified or not. None of us do. We simply want the truth. Let the chips fall where they may.

That is not true. There are still other cases out there, and other cases that could yet be filed - even IF Obama were already sworn in as President!

It's not over until there is proof. There is no reason for Obama to be addressing this issue in the way he has, and continues to, unless he has something to hide - at this point that much is obvious.

I am not sure about this. But it seems to me that if the SCOTUS declares any of the Presidential candidates Constitutionally ineligible it would not toss the election. It would only mean the Electors could not elect that man President. In other words, determining Obama ineligible would merely free "his" Electors to elect another.

I remember that Hillery "suspended" her campaign.

Traditionally, SCOTUS puts out the list of cases granted cert on Friday. This gives the plaintiffs of those cases a head start on preparing their briefs. Donofrio's case was not on that list. The list of cases denied comes out on Monday.
