Define R.I.N.O.: A Republican In Name Only.
Examples of the type of Republican covered under this definition are:
- Rep. Mark Kirk [R-IL]
- Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen [R-FL]
- Rep. Michael Ferguson [R-NJ]
- Rep. Christopher Shays [R-CT]
- Rep. Michael Castle [R-DE]
These five supposed Republican are nothing more than jackasses in elephant's clothing. Rep. Mark Kirk has introduced a bill, H.R. 6257: Assault Weapons Ban Reauthorization Act of 2008, which would "To reinstate the Public Safety and Recreational Firearms Use Protection Act." The bill has been co-sponsored by the other four jackasses listed above. All of them claim to be Republicans.
All of them need to leave the party.
Seriously.
Go.

If the RNC had any brains at all, it would immediately donate thousands of dollars to the Democrat organization in each of the districts where these fools reside.
I'm serious. Send a message. The party doesn't want your kind.
To: Bodhi1
Shays (CT) lost last week and is on his way out. He wants to build a liberal legacy apparently before he leaves.

Well, they are RINOs.
I remember Ferguson running for office. He is NO friend of the Second Amendment.
These five are living breathing proof that the GOP has got to go. They are doing Obama’s dirty work for him.
Lately that seeems that is all Republicans are good for - doing dirty work for their new masters.
Send Mr Ferguson an expression of your opposition.
Send the others too:

Ah, how refreshing, the Government Party starts to move prematurely...
Dear RINO tyrant wannabes,
Kissing Obama's blarney stone by trying to reach around from the "Right" to jerk off our shouldered arms does you no good. The Left hates you because of what you call yourselves, and the Right hates you because of what you do. You are hated by both sides. Now, you've decided to provoke the side that has all the guns and pays all the taxes.
You are starting a 100 yard dash straight into a chainsaw. Run you bastards, run *faster*, right into it.
Sincerely,
Assault Weapons Ben

Shays is a lib big time.
Too many of these eastern “Republicans” are really urban Demcorats who move into conservative Republican districts in the suburbs. They jum[ ship, become instant Republicans and run for office under that title and get elected as such.
But despite the label, deep down inside they remain what they always were - liberal city Democrats. In some cases they are fiscal conservatives - but in ALL cases they are social liberals to the core.

Being on the side of a Marxist coup is one hell of a thing to choose as one's legacy.
To: Bodhi1
That didn’t take long.
I suppose this was bound to happen, Heller left quite a bit of vagueness regarding what guns “we’re allowed to have”. Maybe Scalia planned for this to happen?

The date on that legislation you cite is back in June. I think it’s dead for now.

(a) RESTRICTION- Section 922 of title 18, United States Code, is amended by adding after subsection (u) the following:
(v)(1) It shall be unlawful for a person to manufacture, transfer, or possess a semiautomatic assault weapon.
(2) Paragraph (1) shall not apply to the possession or transfer of any semiautomatic assault weapon otherwise lawfully possessed under Federal law on the date of the enactment of this subsection.
Well, this pretty much bans the domestic manufacture of these weapons as well.

I notice there’s no restriction, in that snippet, to FULLY-automatic assault weapons.

So the GOP thinks it needs to rid itself of anti-abortion “fundamentalists”, but anti-gun, anti-2nd Amendment sentiments are OK...?
And my local republican party wonders why I won’t join...
