It seems that the animal rights morons were trying to get the Navy to stop using sonar during submarine training off the coast of California. It seems they think the sonar is too loud and hurts the sensitive whale ears. Chief Justice Roberts, writing for the Court, calls [edited].

Thank God!!! You have no idea how long this has been going on in California. The stinking Leftists should have to pay all the government costs for defending the military over this CRAP!!!

I’m just curious which judges voted in favor and which ones dissented?

Two justices, Ruth Bader Ginsburg and David Souter, dissented, while another, Stephen Breyer, said he agreed with Roberts only in part and would have imposed more limited restrictions on the Navy. The final justice, John Paul Stevens, effectively joined Roberts on the outcome, without adopting the chief justice’s reasoning.

The only way the Nature worshipping watermelons will ever be happy is if we all abandon civilization, go back to living in caves, and spend our time grooming each other for lice. And not even then.

There is some evidence that sonar does have a disruptive effect on cetaceans. With that in mind, I think the Navy should take all reasonable measures it possibly can AFTER ALL TRAINING OBJECTIVES HAVE BEEN COMPLETED. Compromising training which has a direct bearing on the security of the nation and the lives of our service personnel is not an option. Having said that, if there are things the Navy can do without compromising the first priority, they should, and I would suspect they already do.

I agree 100%. Achieving the training objectives absolutely has to be the number one priority. I do really like cetaceans though, and would like to see us get our training needs met with as little negative effect on them as possible.
