WOW.......if he does not produce it...the electoral college will disqualify him. They have already said...by December 1st, 2008. If he is disqualified...his campaign along with Biden are also disqualified...and it would then fall to McCain.

No he didn’t. He told Obama’s team to respond to the writ, which will be a carbon copy of what they filed in the lower courts.
As an aside however, you do not defy SCOTUS on anything they request. That’s just suicide.

The only thing that Obama is required to do is to file a brief in opposition to the petition for a writ of certiorari. Then the SC decides whether or not to grant the writ. Then it goes for briefs and a hearing. Either the SC will uphold the rejection on standing or settle the standing issue and send it back to the trial court for an evidentiary hearing on the facts.

SLIGHTLY off topic..last night on C-Span ( the one that shows booknotes) Judge Bork gave a presentation on the risks to the Supreme Court..if you can see a rerun of this..try to do so. Also Gen Moore of “ We Were Soldiers Once and Young” has written a new book and his interview was amazing too. Try to catch that too. Neither like the outcome of the election I might add.
